For Linda Rukavina, photography has been a lifelong obsession. She started out as fine-art major in college but found that her talents and passion were pointing her toward the viewfinder. After the younger of her two daughters was born in 2006, Rukavina started earning a living doing what she loves most: capturing the precious moments in a family’s timeline. Her passion for art still informs her work, helping her to select just the right lighting and background for every shot. She chronicles the unique history of each group of loved ones, from engagements and weddings to newborns and high-school seniors. She also creates professional headshots, pictures of pets, and headshots for pets who star in canned-food commercials. To further develop her skills, Rukavina spent a week in Atlanta being tested on her knowledge of photography by industry leaders from across the country and earned the title of Boerne's only PPA-certified professional photographer. Her hard work and dedication has paid off: she earned the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce's Businesswoman of the Year award, and her studio was nominated for the Business of the Year award in 2012.

The team behind Shutter-Happy snaps memorable portraits against unique backdrops scattered within and around a vintage 1920s farmhouse. Before two-dimensional images take shape, Studio manager Emily Christian guides clients through the portrait process, assisting with clothing coordination and scheduling. During the portrait session, photographer Amy Anderson draws on seven years of experience as she artfully lights and poses children and families amid fairyland mushrooms, a rustic barn, and piles of old-fashioned shoulder pads. Guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary soda, water, and cookies between poses. Rather than keeping a set schedule, Shutter-Happy's staffers work seven days a week to accommodate clients. They also participate in local events such as the Outdoor Family Fair and support community organizations including the Boerne Education Foundation—efforts for which Lindsey Toth, the team's third member and marketing director, is responsible.

Expert photographer Danelle Miner captures runaway moments and preserves them on film, creating memorable images that can be enjoyed for years to come. Set up a 60-minute portrait photography session for you and up to three others in your home or at the Boerne-area location of your choice, then smile, leer, or glower to your heart's content as the camera clicks away (a $150 value). Danelle customizes every shoot, finding creative and fun ways to draw out the unique personality of each model. Portrait posers may bring multiple outfits to change up their look, whether that look be "cowboy from space" or "land-mine diffuser/babysitter."
