Most of the world's keychains don't hold keys to a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Maserati. For this reason, Xtreme Adventures was born. Throughout the year, the staff organizes exotic vehicle driving experiences around a makeshift autocross track on the grounds of Sleep Train Amphitheatre. The event allows drivers to hop behind the wheel of a Lamborghini or Ferrari, step on the accelerator, and be transported into the shiny pages of automobile magazines. And the company's driving experiences aren't the only services that ooze adrenaline. They also offer exotic vehicle rentals and 3 hour scenic drive tours in a variety of exotic cars.
Wine and Canvas sends local artists to restaurants and comfortable bars to guide students through featured paintings from the studio's monthly calendar. As instructors offer step-by-step instructions, pupils mimic the motions of their brush to re-create scenes inspired by nature, Impressionist masters, and alcoholic libations themselves. After the night has ended, students carry their finished masterpieces home to hang proudly on their walls or avant-gardely on their fish tanks.
Founder Linda Taix has one mission: to help clients achieve the ultimate positive change in body, health, and spirit––without half- hearted crunches. Employing a team of certified personal trainers and former military personnel, Linda's civilian-style fitness boot camp was featured on Good Morning America. Linda modeled her six-week boot-camp sessions after a real military boot camp, with an enlistment phase to gauge fitness levels and one- hour classes that blend military exercise drills, resistance training, and plyometrics with cardio activities such as obstacle courses and double-dutch jump-rope contests against local youths.
Cutting out traditional boot-camp yelling and huffing, the team fosters a supportive and motivating environment for students of all skill levels. Furthermore, Extreme employs nutritionist and fourth-degree black belt Jake Nelson to guide clients with diet advice and personal consultations on how best to break a board with a honey-glazed ham.
The cutting-edge beauty techniques taught at CAMMUA Makeup Academy prepare budding makeup artists for the high-fashion world as well as careers in TV or film. The techniques and vision of founder Gia Deo shape the school's curriculum, and she has personally mentored every one of the school’s teachers. Advanced FX classes teach students how to use foam and latex appliances, facial hair, and bald caps to turn an actor into an otherworldly creature or make a werewolf presentable enough for a job interview. The academy’s comprehensive makeup kits combine with intensive beauty-certification classes that cover the essentials of being a makeup artist. Members of the public can enroll in one-session makeup tutorials, which cover flattering color palettes and impart concealer techniques to hide redness rather than entire eyes.
Students unleash their inner creativity during Wine and Palette's laid-back painting classes. The professional-artist instructors invent projects that reflect their individual style, from bold abstract patterns to misty, atmospheric landscapes. Though all members of a course work on the same basic image, students add individual flourishes to make the image their own. And, since each class meets at a local bar or restaurant, they can also choose to kick back with a drink or snack as they paint.
