When its doors first opened, Hair Garden Salon became a dream fulfilled for owner Maria Affeln. She developed a passion for hairstyling as a teenager in Brazil, which she pursued after moving to the U.S., training across the country until she had the skill set and resources to open her own salon. Her philosophy is that hair should be treated like a plant—constantly nourished and checked for rabbit warrens—to make sure it receives the proper nutrients and grows healthily. She and her staff use OrganiColorSystem color, perm, and keratin products that transform hair without harmful chemicals. The roster of services also includes haircuts for men and women, lash extensions, and waxing services.

Romanos 1 Salon takes style cues from the elegance of Italy. Elements of Roman architecture are present in the decor, and even the haircare products are Italian?the staff has the complete Echos Line collection at their disposal. They use the brand's nourishing properties to help with haircuts, deep conditioning, and color treatments, as well as texturizing services that leave hair with straight or imbued with springy curls depending on patrons' preferences.

In addition to their hair services, the team also pampers nails with mani-pedis, flatter faces with makeup, and clear away unwanted hair with wax. Each appointment begins with a beauty consultation that nails down the client's preferred look, ensuring that they communicate closely with the stylist instead of bashfully passing notes to them over their shoulder.

Every appointment at Eve Michael Salon & Spa is designed to be an indulgent escape for clients. But an emphasis on relaxation doesn't mean the staff skimps on services. Rather, the team relies on cosmetic products selected for both their efficacy and their natural formulas. Aestheticians employ Yon-Ka's essential oils and plant extracts to hydrate and cleanse the skin during facial treatments. To better remove unwanted stubble, they use strip or hard waxes on the body, and gentle lavender and chamomile formulas on the face. The salon's stylists only need their shears and hair-whispering skills to design eye-catching new 'dos, although they can add colorful accents with Wella tints. Should additional pampering be in order, massage therapists soothe tense muscles with Swedish or deep-tissue modalities, or more specialized reflexology techniques.

It may be small, but Novo Visual Beauty Salon contains everything customers need to get ready for a night on the town or enjoy a simple afternoon all to themselves. Hair, nail, and waxing experts share the cozy salon space, which is filled with the sound of style-setting blow dryers, frantic scissors, and friendly chatter in both English and Spanish. The salon's specialty is custom cuts and color services for the whole family, but those in search of something extra will find the staff equally adept at perms, relaxers, and keratin treatments—which help to calm frizz and get hair back into its skinny hats.
