Following along with the USA Gymnastics program's skill progression, camps at Gym Like This are available for little benders as young as 18 months. The more advanced developmental gymnastics courses split kids up into three levels, based on their experience level, to learn skills such as training on vaults and beams, floor exercises, and handstands, which can be used in routines or to walk on white carpeting without taking off your shoes. The center's also available for birthday parties and hosts parents' night out each month, where kids can eat dinner and frolic under supervision.
The coaches of Hustle Hard CrossFit don't believe in conventional gyms. Their sparse, 3,200 square feet of training space doesn't contian any treadmills or weight machines. Instead, their constantly varying CrossFit workouts make use of functional movements such as Olympic-style weightlifting, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning. The Kula Room, with its spacious floor plan and minimal decor, stays at a balmy 85 degrees during nonheated classes such as yoga barre. The dimly lit Grand Tapas Hall, however, facilitates deeper stretching with a thermostat set to a sweat-inducing 95 degrees. This higher temperature loosens muscles, expels toxins, and thaws ancestors preserved in ice during 90-minute hot-yoga classes. New class offerings, to go along with the studio's recent expansion, include suspension yoga and chakra spinning.
