Since she was preceded by four generations of musicians, it was only natural that Shelkah Francis began playing piano at age 6. Now, with music degrees and nearly two decades of teaching experience to her name, she helps kids discover the same early love of music that has guided her through life and mythical journeys to the underworld. Kindermusik with Ms. Shelkah uses a curriculum practiced around the world that provides age-appropriate music lessons to babies, toddlers, and kids, teaching them musical aptitude as well as social skills. She also teaches youth and adults how to play individual instruments, write music, and prepare for auditions.
Much like the familiar fishing adage, Mission Possible Tutors believes that if you help a student with homework, they learn for a day, but if you help them create their own strategies for overcoming learning obstacles, they will be prepared for a lifetime of education. During study sessions, tutors set specific goals to help children develop problem-solving skills, build confidence, and cement their own personal study strategies. Mission Possible’s areas of expertise include ESL, reading, writing, spelling, math, problem solving, study skills, and science.

Robert Foster founded the company in 2008, and Torontonians might still spot his tiny blue and white smart car zipping to appointments.

Many classes cover general knowledge over the course of six levels, but others are tailored to businesses, kids, or those who just want to brag about their pet hamster in a classier-sounding way. Private participants might choose to commission a curriculum that meets their specific needs.
