In 1998, the clack of billiards balls met the clink of cold beers at the first Fast Eddie’s Sports Tavern and Social Clubs in Amarillo. Since then, 17 more Fast Eddie's locations have sprung up across Texas and Louisiana, each letting guests sink corner shots at 8- and 9-foot Olhausen pool tables while sharing a few drinks and snacks such as deep-fried hot dogs. Beyond the felt, home runs and touchdowns play out on multiple big-screen TVs as darts fly into targets and foosball tables re-create the exciting theatrics of gymnasts struggling to play soccer.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
After having children of my own, I discovered how difficult it can be to find a nice, secure place for them to play and release some energy. Seeing the faces of the kids light up when they enter the inflatable room is the best part of this job. They enter the facility thinking it is just another business?until they see the inflatables and that's when the excitement begins.
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
We have an indoor inflatable room where kids can run around and have some fun without being outside in the heat.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Arcade room is also part of the weekday play, and it doesn't require coins. On weekdays only, unlimited play runs Monday?Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids also receive a drink and a snack with their entrance during these times. Weekends are reserved for private parties.
Clicks Billiards caters to competitive crowds with 19 Brunswick pool tables, including 9-foot Gold Crown tables and eight regulation-size shooting surfaces. Under the low lighting of the cue area, guests can challenge an opponent to a dance around the pool table before breaking bread. Refill your food tank with a burger and fries ($6, prices vary by location), buffalo wings ($7.75 per dozen), or fries ($3.75) before topping it off with a longneck domestic bottle ($3), a mixed drink blended in a wobbly washing machine, or Sutter Home white zinfandel ($4). Consumption can also occur while aiming for bull's-eyes on dartboards, which helped earn "Best Place to Shoot Darts" in 2008, from the Phoenix New Times, or participating in National Trivia Network (NTN) play.
