Founded and directed by esteemed actor and film producer Alan Dysert, best known as Sean Cudahy from All My Children, The Actor's School instructs trained thespians and prospective talent alike in the art of on-camera performance and navigating the entertainment industry. During the two-hour course, students learn to get comfortable in front of a camera, cultivating characters in a variety of mediums, such as films, soap operas, sitcoms, commercials, music videos, and stunt-double work for a Supreme Court justice. The small, unintimidating class size allows timid trainees to break out of their shells as they run lines from real TV scripts with friends, or improvise post-apocalyptic love scenes with strangers. The experienced instructors will share essential tips and tricks on how to find work in the industry. Peruse The Actor's School's alumni success stories to see where a newly honed craft may land you.

Nestled across 31 acres of scenic terrain, The Cave cuts radio-ready professional soundscapes with the assistance of 1,500-square-foot, 32-track recording facility and a lineup of talented in-house backup musicians. Artists can use up to 10 hours of studio time to record prized tracks, work through new ideas with Wild Oats' seasoned songsters, or prepare an audition disc for the 23rd annual Professional Tambourinists Convention. Though the finished product will depend on the goals and experience of each musician, well-prepared and focused artists may leave the studio with several fully mixed tracks in hand. Wild Oats accommodates solo performers or bands, but all group members must be able to fit in the space and keep time with a vuvuzela when required.

Christian Youth Theater helps nurture kids' artistic talents through theater arts classes and camps. Children between the ages of 4 and 18 glean tips from experienced teachers, such as how to safely perform slapstick stunts, design a set, and overcome their fear of auditions. To that end, the theater welcomes students to try out for its Broadway-style productions and to show off their skills in end-of-term showcases.

Despite being blessed with a mellifluous, five-octave voice and an unwavering desire to sing, Brett Manning couldn?t find a vocal coach who would give him the results he wanted, always slipping back into the same problems and frustrations. That all changed when he met a wizened old gentleman who had spent his career amassing effective exercises and training some of the country's top singers. Taking classes from his new mentor, Manning began his own experimental foray into vocal training, streamlining his newly discovered secrets and adding new tricks to enhance his lessons. Before long, he was helping Broadway casts, Grammy-winning artists, and big-label singers to improve their vocal performances and shame all other party invitees in renditions of "Happy Birthday."

At Brett Manning's studio, a hand-selected coterie of coaches?each individually trained in Manning?s method?helps to shape up aspiring crooners, bringing a wide range of experiences to lessons. Classes are available in person, over the phone, or on Skype, allowing students to hone their pipes from across the country or safely hidden in the studio's air ducts.

When Nashville Demo Studio speaks of its team of hit songwriters and industry professionals, it is no idle boast. Company president and showbiz veteran Jimi Whitelaw oversees a staff that includes Will Rambeaux—who has worked for Faith Hill, Trick Pony, and American Idol—and Billy Montana, whose recent collaborators include Lee Greenwood, Kenny Chesney, and Martina McBride. The studio also supplies instrumentation, vocals, and recording opportunities while leaving copyright ownership and distribution rights firmly in their clients’ hands. Though the stable of musicians skews to Southern-fried genres, they can also ably handle pop, R & B, and countrified interpretations of whale calls. All services are available both in person and online via Skype.
