When The Comfy K9’s staff of animal behaviorists planned the layout for their luxury dog-boarding lodge, they tried to put themselves in the shoes of their four-legged friends. They thought it might be nice to frolic around a 3,000-square-foot indoor park during six-hour daycare sessions, so they built one and lined it with artificial grass. They also thought it might be nice to play with like-minded pups, so they made sure that it would be easy to separate their guests by size, temperament, and age. This level of careful planning is most evident in the overnight boarding lodge, where dogs bunk down on elevated beds in suit rooms. Each room is separated from the others by a wall of opaque glass blocks, which allow in plenty of light yet spare dogs judgmental looks when they change into pajamas with cats printed on them.
Speaking of cats, they also enjoy comfortable quarters—albeit in a separate area of the building. Owners can schedule appointments for grooming and therapeutic massage during their pets’ visits, or stay on for training sessions conducted by experienced instructors.

DoodyCalls' team of pooper-scoopers knows caring for dogs is a full-time job. The team makes the job a little less taxing by helping out with some of the dirty work, so families have time to play with their pooches in clean yards. The same goes for feline friends. Team members visit homes weekly to clean out litter boxes, leaving them filled with fresh litter. The team can also deodorize decks and patios that have acquired unwelcome odors from pets.
The staff at Cisco's Den goes to great lengths to care for dogs both with and without homes. Pups brought to the facility by their loving parents play with attentive caretakers while exploring indoor and outdoor play yards, spacious dog runs, and poker rooms. When not at play, pups rest in large kennels with room to move about and assume yoga poses. Additionally, Cisco's Den offers conveniences such as paperless drop-offs, as well as parking and airport shuttles for customers dropping off their dogs before their vacations.
In a separate center, staff members care for rescue dogs, providing them with homes until loving families can be found. Proceeds from Cisco's Den are donated to DMK Rehoming, a no-kill rescue service and shelter that gives canines a chance to find a permanent home.
