We are a hatha yoga studio serving the East Bay Community of Rhode Island. The studio came into being as an offering to the community, and three years later, that core value of our studio continues! The mission of Bristol Yoga Studio is to bring more yoga to more people.
All four Total Fitness locations hold a variety of up-to-date fitness equipment and more than 25 energetically instructed classes. From cardio-kickboxing and spinning to Pilates and strength training, the fitness curriculum readies muscles and cardio systems to take on new challenges, such as running a marathon at the bottom of the ocean. Aspiring Zumbalinas can opt for Zumba classes to learn Latin dance moves; time-hindered humans can choose the power half-hour class, a core strengthening and high intensity cardio blast that burns calories like a flaming donut; and those in search of motivation can take boot camp, which comes complete with a military-esque instructor.
Amidst cocktails and noshing, 35 to 40 students of all skill sets recreate classic works of art within hours at Drink and Dabble under the tutelage of comedian and RISD graduate Charlie Hall or his similarly talented staff members. He supplies classes with artistic gear including a blank 16" x 20" stretched canvas, water-based acrylics, and aprons. Charlie selects the evening?s canvas from his own collection or sometimes from famous artists such as Vincent van Gogh and his ?The Starry Night.? He and his assistants guide the class through every layer step-by-step, circling the room to dispense individual tips. During short breaks, he and his students eat, drink, and make merry along to a soundtrack of party tunes. By class? end, the acrylics dry into a new version of a priceless canvas that you can take home.
