The bendy-bodied movement masters at Mountain Yoga keep their focus on proper alignment as they help yogis of all levels synchronize minds and muscles with an array of classes Monday–Saturday, as well as rejuvenating meditation on Sundays. Rookies to the realm of downward dogs, warrior ones, and kneels before Zod will master the essential asanas and concentrate on posture in Yoga Basics. Like synchronized swimming across the English Channel, the Flow Level 1 class works aerobic elements into the Beginners' Flow class regimen of smooth bodily movements and steady breathing. The Back & Core Basics class tightens torso muscles so students can save on gas with long-distance crab walks. Mountain Yoga’s accommodating class schedule allows students to fit workouts in between the demands of work, family, and Joust Club.
Ladies Workout Asheville's supportive, attentive staff help women navigate the facility's full exercise circuit, packed schedule of workout classes, and other body-bettering amenities such as tanning beds and nutrition counseling. Members and pass holders can tone tired muscles while shaking their hips in a Zumba class, tackle cardio and strength machines sized specifically for women's bodies, or channel their disdain for punching bags during group kickboxing lessons. After each workout, a thermal massage on a Migun bed relaxes weary muscles, and the sweat-sapping far-infrared sauna evicts toxins from the skin and lifts voodoo stress curses. Ladies Workout Asheville also offers fitness programs for kids at Cardio Kids.
Hot Yoga Asheville’s new 3,800-square-foot studio—equipped with six showers, custom antimicrobial yoga flooring and far-infrared Radiant Heat panels with automatic CO2-sensored fresh air exchange—does as much to detoxify the environment as it does its human visitors. While the latter work their way through the 26 traditional Bikram poses on biodegradable mats, they are surrounded by formaldehyde-free insulation and air purified by a hydroxyl generator.
Welcome to Fusion Pilates Asheville, a state-of-the-art Pilates & Gyrotonic® studio located in downtown Asheville, North Carolina.
We are proud to offer innovative fitness training using our client customized and highly effective blend of Fusion Pilates™, the Gyrotonic® Expansion System®, Gyrokinesis® and yoga.
Lighten Up owner and seasoned stretcher Lillah Schwartz opened Asheville's original yoga studio in 1981 with a mission to lighten and enlighten flexers of all fitness levels. The highly trained and experienced teachers provide one-on-one attention, altering poses to fit each student's skill level and zodiac sign, while a 15-minute complimentary consultation helps newcomers find their ideal class. Intro to yoga introduces the basic postures and breath work at a slow, relaxed pace, while Asana levels one and two warm up limbs for more impressive feats of nimbleness. The studio's flexible class schedule also includes focused courses for students with back problems and other health conditions, and mats are available for those who would otherwise resort to a quilt made of fruit roll-ups.
