When Deltone L. Moore was growing up, he’d sit with his uncle in the upper deck at Cleveland Indians games, waiting for two things: the chance to catch a foul ball and the moment the popcorn guy walked by. He never forgot the scent of fresh, buttery popcorn wafting through the stands, and what began as a childhood treat turned into a lifelong passion. As Moore studied popcorn, experimented with flavors, and lived among a tribe of kernels for a year, he realized he could devise original, improved versions of the classic treat.
At Popcorn Monkey, he and his team create a full spectrum of flavors, such as blueberry, orange, ranch, and blue cheese, in small batches. In addition to selling their popped kernels by the bag, the staff also stock holiday and sports-themed tins, as well as festive gift baskets.
Whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or an evening treat, there are lots of ways to soothe your sweet tooth and savory cravings at Zazu Frozen Yogurt & Crepes. Savory crepe options include chipotle chicken with roasted red peppers and cheddar cheese, and ratatouille with eggplant and zucchini.
Customers can pair their meals with tangy fro-yo, chosen from 14 daily flavors and customized at the shop's extensive toppings bar. After making their selections, customers can also curl up near the Italian gourmet espresso bar and choose from specialty coffees, such as a latte, a mochaccino, or a simple mug of drip coffee. The spot also offers an array of warm, non-coffee beverages, such as hot cocoa and milk steamers. Combine that with a laptop to surf the free wi-fi, and guests may find enough comfort to last an entire afternoon.
Marble Slab Creamery's sensory experience begins by walking past the storefront, where the buttery scent of fresh-baked waffle cones drifts out into the air. In addition to procuring handheld treats, Marble Slab Creamery can send creations home in a variety of other formats, such as ice-cream cakes, cupcakes, and hand-packed quarts, or in the capable hands of a catering team for sprucing up special events such a corporate get-togethers or school functions with portable marble slabs or sundae bars in tow.
