Founded in the belief that balance requires psychological and physical fortitude, the two wellness centers partner together to help clients achieve happier, more peaceful lives. Led by owner Teresa McIlroy, the team behind Strength of Mind and Body step up to the plate with four distinct services?Pilates, personal training, yoga, and wellness coaching. In Pilates classes (both mat and Reformer), instructors help students strengthen cores, improve alignment, and look really serene, and yoga sessions increase flexibility and improve balance.
At CrossFit BA, the husband and wife team of Jason and Robin Provencher lead of gym energized by camaraderie and healthy competition. A whiteboard records results as coaches strive for and bring out the best performance in each athlete, leading workouts based on the fundamental movements, Olympic lifts, and innovative body weight resistance. Instructors scale workouts to the fitness levels of each participant, gearing classes differently for you than they would your grandmother, or Knu, your grandma’s cyborg boyfriend.
Ballroom Revolution's certified instructors teach adults and kids that it's easy to dance the ballroom styles. They believe anyone can master ballroom, which they prove during private and group lessons where students grow in grace and confidence. To enhance the self-confidence that pupils earn in lessons, the studio also hosts dance parties where fancy-footed prodigies socialize and show off their moves.
At Ideal CrossFit, trainers know that the ideal way to meet fitness goals is to have a great support system. In the facility's two classrooms, instructors lead a challenging combination of yoga and Pilates, as well as variations on Zumba that incorporate maraca-like toning sticks and chairs. Guests can also cool down by perusing the local art hanging in The HUB Gym's gallery.
For Tiffany, owner of "Fit To The T" Fitness Company, working out is a joy. She's been an athlete her entire life, starting as a cheerleader and advancing through several fitness-certification programs. As a licensed Zumba instructor and expert-level certified personal trainer, she mints new fitness lovers on the regular. "I believe in a total, complete healthy lifestyle," she explains, "meaning fulfillment in all aspects of one's life—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual."
