For four decades, Putt-Putt Golf and Games has hosted friendly competition with four putt-putt golf courses and an array of games. Colorful blossoms and rocky waterfalls add character to 18-hole putt-putt golf courses, and creative hole designs add challenge. Groups of partygoers can request a staff chaperone to guide them through the labyrinth and hand over a treasure map to the course’s bounty of nougat-filled golf balls.
In the Game Zone, visitors settle competitive challenges at an air-hockey table or face-off against digital emissaries in the Terminator Salvation arcade game. Outside, the Jump Shot is a trampoline basketball hoop that launches athletes toward slam-dunks in lower orbit.
Rolling hills, wooded terrain, and shimmering waterways serve as the canvas upon which Beckett Golf Club’s 27-hole, 9,577-yard golf complex shines. The swath of verdant playing grounds forms three distinct nines that golfers mix and match to create varied 18-hole rounds. The longest layout, the blue course, confronts players with bends and jumps in the form of dogleg fairways and water hazards on three holes. A fast-starting swing is a must for golfers starting on the red course, where the first hole—a 498-yard par 5—is also the layout’s most difficult, bending sharply to the left with a lush patch of trees that prevents shortcuts and golf-cart drag races. The shortest of the three nines, the white course puts water in play on two holes and revels in the rolling fairways and medium-size greens that characterize the entire 27-hole layout.
Open year-round, the course at Juniata Golf Club sprawls over 106 naturally hilly acres and challenges players with tricky lies and imposing hazards that complicate its relatively short length. Frankford Creek winds into play on six holes of the Edmund B. Ault design, ensnaring worm burners in a reedy morass. The par-4 sixth hole exemplifies the difficulty of the course as a whole, measuring just 360 yards in length but forcing shots to climb entirely uphill from tee to shallow green like a marathon-running pack mule.

There are a number of ways to enjoy the game of golf without hitting the links, and Tee It Up Golf provides just about all of them. Its two-level 52-stall driving range accommodates seasoned veterans as well as newcomers developing their own swing using Tee It Up's rental clubs. Kids can set out on the 18-hole mini-golf course or enroll in a summer golf camp to learn to navigate the world of golf proper. For golfers longing for faraway links, the facility's golf simulator allows you to tee off or yell at birds on digital versions of 30 courses from around the world.
Bordley House Grille takes its name from 18th-century gentleman farmer John Beale Bordley, who ran his Chester County estate with seasonal crop rotation, artisanal brewing, and self-sufficiency in mind. Though the restaurant is nestled on an idyllic golf course rather than a sprawling farm, the staff carries on Mr. Bordley's traditions with a seasonally changing menu. The menu offers homey comfort food such as chicken, pastry baked salmon, burgers, and pulled-pork sandwiches. A covered patio lined with lantern-tipped columns welcomes visitors into the rustic two-story mortar-and-slate farmhouse, where rough stone walls, fireplaces, and chairs upholstered with padded leather evoke an earthy, organic ambience.
Designed by former PGA Tour mainstay and Pennsylvania native George Fazio, the landscape of Kimberton Golf Club's 18-hole course sometimes reads like a fond letter home to the region in which Fazio was born. A white clapboard clubhouse sits among the modest oaks and pines that line the fairways, and a rustic wooden dock juts out into a central pond, where golf balls rue the fact they never learned to swim like the ping-pong balls.
