Since it officially opened in December 2011, Indy Trading Post's indoor shooting range continues to provide a safe and modern space for marksmen to hone their aim. Experts walk novices through safety and firing lessons before they shoot their first round, ensuring visits remain safe and enjoyable. The facility's store also stocks a cache of handguns, shotguns, and other firearms distributed from top-name manufacturers, as well as ammunition and protective gear.
The Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival strives to induce every reaction from a giggle to a guffaw during its one-day film spree. The festival screens comedic films from across the globe, as well as some that feature cast or crew members from Indiana. Each year, approximately 30 full-length films, shorts, and life-size flipbooks dance across the eager retinas of the audience.
The inspiration for the festival, Steve Pearce, was a National Kidney Foundation of Indiana supporter and film lover who passed away from kidney disease in 2009. His family carries on his mission to raise awareness for the disease by appropriating the funds from the festival to NKFI. The NKFI aims to prevent kidney and urinary-tract diseases, improve the well-being of people affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of transplant-ready organs. Together, the film festival and NKFI plan to alleviate these needs, one kidney at a time.
As a teaching professional since 1994, Tim Lewis of Aahh! Golf Lessons! teaches the traditional swing while expounding on the unique but consistent playing style of Canadian Hall of Famer “Pipeline” Moe Norman, whose unorthodox swing and quirky personality are the stuff of legend. A guiding principle of the swing is keeping the club on a single plane, which minimizes the possibility that the club head ventures off course to produce erratic ball flights. Tim combines these swing mechanics with the Vardon grip, also known as the overlapping grip or the grip that finally captured Godzilla.
