DivaGirl Fitness melds the polar opposites of exercise and sexiness to offer an array of women's-only fitness classes. With this deal, guests can choose five one-hour classes (most classes are a $15 value for drop-ins). The Strip to Fit class combines elements of strip aerobics, yoga, Pilates, and jazz dance into an exotic stew of sultry sexiness, and Sexy Bollywood brings together Indian and western dance styles to shake off saris of slim hips. Classes are offered throughout the week at several Toronto-area locations—use DivaGirl Fitness's list of participating locations to find a class near you.

Just4MiE's studio is instantly calming. Guests can relax in the pale-pink dressing room and plush lounge chairs before migrating to the dimly lit pole-fitness studio, where expert instructors teach Pole-ah-Tease classes. The absence of mirrors is disarming for those used to a traditional fitness class, but these classes are anything but traditional. In six-week sessions, the pole-fitness classes first teach students the foundation of swinging around poles and building the strength to lift themselves off the ground. Following sessions focus on tricks such as pole tango and sensual chair dances.
The trainers at Hi End Fitness are proud of the fact that their 5,000-square-foot gym is dwarfed by larger franchise gyms. That's because the Hi End training philosophy emphasizes pure workouts using kettlebells, free weights, TRX suspension straps, and other equipment that emphasize functional movements. Hi End's intimate space boasts plenty of room for boot-camp, kickboxing, and small-group training sessions, as well as Lifespan treadmills and Vision Fitness spin bikes to loosen up muscles before or after workouts.
"We are not a gym with personal trainers," explains the staff at Conker Fitness, "we are a personal development facility with a team of attentive, experienced coaches." These coaches—Jeff, Matt, Alicia, Justin, Becky, Lou, and Trista—each have their own specialties and their own way of connecting with clients. They're also the folks who guide the boot camp and small-group training sessions.
Because their focus is "on performance and development, not juice bars and tanning beds," the Conker Fitness team has outfitted their facility with tons of challenging gear: punching bags, sledgehammers, sleds, and monkey bars occupy the two-level gymnasium, along with traditional equipment such as weight machines. As they jog on the lofted level, treadmill runners can gaze over the balcony and reenact the cardio-fitness scenes of Romeo and Juliet. The focus here is on personal progress and results, but there is clearly a lot of thought behind the facility's look and feel. It's well-lit and high-ceilinged, and a decorative red-and-white graffiti motif gives the place a tough, modern feel.
