Complex Barbell's coaches describe their gym as a "functional fitness facility." They conduct CrossFit?style workouts designed to improve a person's ability in multiple domains of fitness. Students select classes in barre, hot yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa flow, or Pilates reformer, then enter the studio to find their mat, mat towel, and face towel already awaiting their arrival. Sessions of aerial yoga, barre, spin, and hot Pilates are also available. The staff also trains yoga teachers and offers tips on perfecting the art of the wise nod.
The beautiful confines of iGita surround visitors in antique furnishings, scores of living plants, and decor crafted from 400-year-old wood. The soothing ambiance is now home to a juice bar that features raw, vegan, organic, and gluten-free juices and smoothies. Guests can order a drink before their workouts and then have it waiting for them when they finish class. To further freshen up, complimentary bath towels await pupils at the front desk for those who want to use the showers. They also provide small plastic bags for students to store their used workout clothes in to take home.
It's impossible to feel left behind at a Quad spin class. We offer a good variety of classes, including many interval-based training classes that keep participants moving between spinning and strength training. Time passes by quickly during these classes, and they provide a different workout each time. With 17 bikes in our studio, we create an intimate setting that allows for camaraderie and personal attention from the instructors to help students achieve their goals.
Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
music is critical to a cycle class - it really needs to inspire no matter what drill but the speed of the music will vary based on climbs or sprints - rock and roll and top 40 are really the best ways to go
