Vie the Spa is an exclusive women’s spa that caters to female well-being with body-swaddling detoxifying wraps. Developed by biochemists from UCLA Medical Center, the herbal formulation of a M’lis Detox Contour wrap encourages circulatory lymphatic flow, which cleanses tissues without laundry detergent guesswork. Pro Tip: Try the combination of Swedish, traditional Thai, and hot-stone massage.
What is one of your signature services? How is it performed?
Professional massage using a combination of Swedish massage, Thai massage, and hot-stone therapy. Thai massage involves stretching and acupressure to promote vascular- and energy-flow. Swedish massage is a more relaxing technique that incorporates oil and smooth pressure. Hot-stone therapy uses heated stones to treat specific problem areas needing heat and direct pressure.
When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
While living and growing up in Thailand, I liked getting massages from my auntie. I learned Thai massage and realized that I am very good at it.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a client?
Several clients have told me that I gave them the best massages of their lives. Those comments made me feel good about what I am doing. My massage teachers also told me that I have naturally good hands for massage.
After more than three decades in the industry, Claudette Gentle has become fluent in more than a few hairstyling and cosmetic treatments. Her undisputed specialty, however, is skincare.
Inside her studio at Willem Salon, Claudette treats skin issues with advanced treatments such as nonsurgical enzyme face-lifts and peels that incorporate pumpkin or glycolic acid. Though these peels effectively resurface and strengthen skin, Claudette knows they aren?t for everyone. For those with more sensitive skin, she performs a manual method known as dermaplaning. Wielding a sterile surgical blade or electric instrument, she carefully removes dead skin cells, fine facial hairs, and alien facehuggers to promote a glowing complexion.

Art-deco supports arch to the ceiling above pink wallpaper, presaging the personalized, luxurious treatments guests enjoy farther inside. In addition to the studio's eponymous services, it offers such treatments as the M'lis body-contour wrap, which helps clients shed fat and detoxify. SofTap permanent makeup gently embellishes skin with long-lasting pigment, easing the burden of applying makeup each morning or always wearing a mask of yourself wearing makeup.
