It’s rare to find a single treatment that works to address anything from headaches to weight loss, but the acupuncturists have been using their methods to do so for more than 5,000 years. Guided by licensed acupuncturist Arthur Pan, South Bay Acupuncture Health Center's team is versed in acupuncture and other methods of traditional Chinese medicine, including herbal therapy and fire cupping. In the past, clients have used these therapies to find relief from many kinds of pain, debilitating addictions, fatigue, and gastrointestinal problems, including those caused by the uncontrollable impulse to eat still-life paintings of fruit.
Excess weight. Unexpected injuries. Difficult-to-diagnose illnesses. Many powerful enemies stand in the way of wellness, but to the medical professionals at Advanced Health Center, these obstacles are merely speed bumps on the road to optimal health. Their treatments mitigate and outmaneuver all manner of health issues, from Lipo_Light sessions that help clients shed inches to chiropractic adjustments that set spines back on the straight and narrow. Of course, all of the gains made through treatments must be maintained over the course of a lifetime; that's why the center also offers extensive nutrition and lifestyle counseling.
When Dr. Bruce Watson was a child, his father got injured at his cabinet-making shop. Young Bruce was scared; his dad was in pain and couldn't work. Finally, Grandma suggested that Dad pay a visit to her chiropractor, and a single visit got Pop off the couch and back in the shop. The impact this had on Bruce was tremendous. And after earning his chiropractic degree years later, Bruce again called upon personal experience to decide how to run his private clinic. Dr. Watson asked himself, "How would I like my father (or any loved one) to be treated when they enter a chiropractic office?" Constantly evaluating his answer to this question makes it easy for the doc to maintain Watson Chiropractic's friendliness, attentiveness, and results-oriented approach.
Like a belief in the Tooth Fairy, Scott Rempfer's belief in the power of martial arts and fitness started when he was a kid. However, instead of fading, his belief strengthened with each youth and adult class he completed. Today, 20 years and one 4th degree Black Belt later, he continues teaching fitness classes, personal training, therapeutic corrective exercise, Karate, Tai Chi and Kickboxing at Med-X Health & Fitness Center. But it's not all kicks, punches, and hair-biting. He and his staff also offer sports and fitness training classes along with summer sports camps for kids. MED-X Health & Fitness also offers Yoga, Pilates, Cross-Training and Massage Therapy for adults.
The team at Butchart Health Center consists of Dennis Butchart, a doctor of chiropractic, and fellow physicians, Dr. Robert Duplain ND and Dr. Corrine Wang ND. Together they take a deeper a look at the root of patient's surface symptoms to target the underlying cause. The root of many ailments often can be traced to spinal misalignment, which he and his colleague Dr. Jeremy Jones then treat using a variety of adjustment techniques and stern lectures.
Their teammate, J. A. Servatius, a naturopathy specialist, takes a similar holistic approach to his weight-loss and wellness treatments. He aims to help his clients make positive changes in their lives by adopting proper nutrition and healthy habits.
Doctor of Chiropractic Tam Ly acquired his love of chiropractic from his neighborhood practitioner. Dr. Ly was working as a personal trainer at the time, and his interest in movement and musculature harmonized with what he learned during his chiropractic visits. These appointments served as the inspiration for what would become a lifelong pursuit of learning better, more efficient ways to help the body recover from illness and injury.
Today, Dr. Ly employs adjustments and spinal decompression to heal patients at Valley Wellness Health Group. Drawing from his background in personal training, he combines these manual spinal manipulations with therapeutic massages and physical-rehabilitation exercises to promote wellness. No matter what the treatment, Dr. Ly aims to educate his patients, taking the time to explain each procedure in simple language or binary code.
Dr. Keith Kim tosses pharmaceuticals to the curb when he treats his patients’ ailments. Manual adjustments combine with massage therapy and rehabilitative exercises to alleviate everything from headaches to arthritis and back pain caused by trying to adjust your own spine. Dr. Kim also tacks on ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation treatments to other services for added relief.
