Lingofest's bilingual instructors lead a variety of engaging activities to captivate children in one-hour introductory classes that focus on the individual needs of each student. Basic nouns and verbs are communicated via games, songs, and colorful pictures while niños ages 5–11 soak in vocabulary. Two-hour adult classes accommodate beginner to advanced speakers in groups that meet once a week over the course of a month. Instructors incorporate as much conversational practice as possible into each lesson, and provide helpful workbooks, audio and video materials, and guest speakers handpicked from frenetic fútbol broadcasting booths.

For example, their adult programs teach workplace leaders how to communicate. Whereas kids’ programs relay everything from the basics of saying hello to interviewing dos and don’ts.
At Energy N Motion, AFAA-certified personal trainer Lauren Smith combines the privacy of home workouts with the equipment and instructorship of gym workouts. Inside a homely gym space that features wooden floors and lime-green walls, Lauren and her team of fitness instructors lead students through private and semiprivate personal-training sessions and small-group boot-camp and circuit-training classes. Gym visitors can work up a sweat in the cardio area, strength-training area, or a free-weight area that has dumbbells, resistance bands, physio balls, bosu trainers, and a baby grand piano used for squats.
