Critter Camp caters to each client’s furry family members, ensuring a memorable vacation for Fidos and Felixes alike. A cage-free getaway for four-legged friends, Critter Camp keeps a counselor on-site 24 hours a day to aid homesick pets or separation-anxious alpha dogs, and security cameras are planted throughout the facility so proud parents can check on their pets while they play. Dogs can choose from 10 play yards to romp in with friends, enjoy a dive into the swimming pool or the sandbox stacked with bones, or placate a human’s seemingly insatiable need to throw a frisbee over and over again. Play groups are arranged by size and temperament, separating possessive pomeranians from bashful bulldogs.
A lifelong baker, Tina turned her zeal for treats into a business when she opened Bluebonnet Cupcakery in fall of 2012. She is known for her original creation––the pie cupcake––but she also whips up batches of traditional cupcakes, sugar cookies, and cakes for special occasions. Her baked goods are a hit at events such as baby showers and birthday parties as well as meetings and company food fights. Always open to suggestions, she adorns her treats with custom decorations at no additional charge.
The first time Jessica Sutterfield meets one of her clients, she always starts with a body-composition assessment. By calculating individuals’ lean-mass-to-fat-mass ratios, she’s able to determine their metabolic rates, and from there, determine the number of calories they should aim to burn each day. Her individualized approach has helped a wide range of clients meet their fitness goals. She helped 64-year-old Mary Jarvis get healthy enough to kick her prescription medications, and with her assistance, engaged couple Damon and Stephanie Herbert lost weight before the cameras recorded their wedding day.
Jessica specializes in small-group training at area gyms, a practice that adds a social element to workouts and costs less than completely private sessions or a low-cal diet of $20 bills. She also hosts sport camps, during which athletes of all ages run body-weight drills and do plyometrics to improve their in-game performances.
