Sears Portrait Studio's original photographers committed their first family photos to film more than 60 years ago, and the studio's digital photographers continue the tradition of taking high-quality portraits at more than 1,000 U.S. locations open today. Each professional photographer completes a rigorous training program before they begin composing and shooting digital photographs, adopting styles ranging from formal portraits to passport photos. Their all-digital system lets customers access their photographs online, where they can add graphics before ordering prints for collages, greeting cards, mugs, and broken-mug collages.
Registered aesthetic nurse Carmen Kitts and Dr. Marlys Pike each boast more than a decade of experience, which they bring to every treatment performed at Tru' Identity. With an arsenal of state-of-the-art tools on hand, the duo is well equipped to help clients achieve head-to-toe beauty.
Clients can choose from an array of injectable facial treatments to fend off signs of aging. Botox diminishes forehead lines and crow's-feet, and dermal fillers work to restore the natural youthful contours of the face. The staff can also revamp gams with laser hair removal or sclerotherapy, which aims to lessen the appearance of varicose and spider veins. Other cosmetic services include acne treatments and tattoo removal, which incorporates lasers to lighten tattoos until they are only visible when viewed through decoder rings found inside cereal boxes from the 1950s.
SCG Skin Rejuvenation's medical director, Dr. Drew Wellmon, oversees a team of registered nurses as they provide advanced medical beauty treatments. Together, they help clients achieve their image goals with aesthetic services. The center keeps complexions clear with Obagi prescriptive skincare, and its weight-loss programs, such as Releana, are monitored by a physician and help clients responsibly shed pounds. Other services include Exilis skin-tightening and body-contouring treatments, sclerotherapy, and injectables, such as Botox and Juv?derm.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I provide a soothing atmosphere and offer creative, holistic measures to energize, purify, and release the pain from your body and mind. Client's need a therapist they trust. I always have my client's well-being in mind during every massage.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
To be able to help others relieve stress. Be able to work around my children's schedules so that they can be more active in school activities, and I can attend every event. To offer my services to various non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness, which means a lot to me.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting clients who come to me slumped over from pain or stress is upsetting to me. However, when they leave and can move their shoulder and neck without pain; when they can look up and stand straight...this is the highlight of my work. Seeing clients smile.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
"Amazing arm and leg work! Great way to relax your body after a rough work week or when you are pushing your workouts! Cristina will give a specialized massage based on your personal needs. Very knowledgeable in her craft." - Bev
5th Avenue Salon’s multitude of beautifiers spiff up weary physiques from top to toe. Hands fatigued from guerilla-thumb warfare unwind as one of the seasoned staffers buffs and files during a manicure, whereas battered soles take a 10-toed load off during a soothing pedicure. Once clients' extremities are sufficiently cleansed and burnished, technicians artfully daub nails with a traditional polish or, for an additional fee, Gelish polish to facilitate stylish, runway-grade direction pointing. Alternatively, adroit skin gurus kick off the one-hour classic European facial with a cleansing-and-toning treatment designed to whisk away epidermal impurities from all skin types before a thorough exfoliation and steam. Then, a therapeutic massage melts away tension icicles from faces, shoulders, and necks with calming kneads and strokes, paving the way for a custom facemask that swaddles cheeks in a skin-transforming veil. The application of a healing eye-care treatment and moisturizing SPF lotion conclude treatments, leaving faces feeling as good as a million-dollar bill lounging in a beachside hammock.
It's the advice you get before every first date and job interview: "Put your best face forward." This is easier said than done if your pores are clogged, your cheeks are flushed, or your skin is covered in candy buttons. Enter Face Forward, a beauty spa that specializes in rejuvenating treatments for the face and body. There are few aesthetic imperfections that the spa's staff can't handle. Exfoliating microdermabrasion treatments target dull skin, warm wax swipes hair away from the chin and lips, semi-permanent makeup enlivens eyelashes, and so on. There's even a noninvasive microcurrent facelift that contours skin and eliminates those wrinkles that make it harder to get speedy service at the face-painting tent.
