The Georgia Renaissance Festival teems with life, noise, and the PG-13 debauchery of nearly 1,000 costumed rakes, harlequins, and ne'er-do-wells. Nab a blown-glass or carved-stone piece of the imagined past in the artist market; nosh on super-sized turkey legs and other medieval fare at any of the food courts; or spiral, dip, and spin on rides ($1–$5 per attraction) like the Sea Dragon, Barrel O'Bedlam, and the hydraulic iron maiden.

Tone your core muscles with a hoop dance class or dance to the Latin beat of Zumba, with classes available three times per week. Give unappreciated abdomens their moment in the spotlight with a six-week belly-dancing course, in which beginning bellies will learn posture, isolations, shimmies, and undulations, before fusing their newly found skills into a complete performance piece. Couples can reignite relationship flames with tantalizing tango sessions while simultaneously boosting self-confidence. Though there is no nudity in this or any other class, stripping away inhibitions is highly encouraged.
The community-focused Theatre in the Square fetes playhouse enthusiasts with riveting tales from classic, modern, and local scribes. Bursting onto the 225-seat MainStage is The Little Foxes, a familial yarn about trickery surrounding a husband's fortune. Recommended for ages 14 and up, the story brims with deceit, humor, and the complicated trappings of family life, especially for siblings that have trouble sharing stage props. Meanwhile, Circle Mirror Transformation examines the inner workings of acting class participants as they delve into their created characters while excavating the artifacts of their own personality. An off-Broadway hit, the play provides theater-goers with an amusing peek into the intricately convoluted minds of scene crafters.
