With its Arizona Center for Responsible Fatherhood program, Child & Family Resources helps dads with low incomes hone parenting skills and achieve economic stability. An array of free classes bolsters responsible childcare and job-searching skills. The program also assists some fathers in obtaining manageable child-support orders. Many program participants face financial barriers to access to transportation, so Child & Family Resources would like to provide at least 80 fathers with a free daily bus pass that will allow them to travel to and from the center where classes are held.

The simple fact that Bridges Preschool has branched out to seven locations in a little more than 10 years speaks to the high caliber of its staff. Every teacher holds, or is close to completing, a degree in child development, early childhood education, or another related field. Plus, they must undergo a rigorous three- or four-part interview before they get the job.

But the preschool and kindergarten's rapid expansion must also be due in part to its unique curriculum, a large chunk of which relies on the Adventure Playgrounds at each of its schools. Inspired by learning playgrounds in Europe, each holds slightly different educational fixtures, such as a bird and butterfly habitat or a garden.

Swim Girl, Inc. teaches young tadpoles a valuable life skill and athletic activity that will keep them in shape and out of sharks throughout their lives. Parents can be assured that swimmers will learn important water safety skills from pre-screened swim instructors, who are certified through the National Swim School Association in swim instruction, and the National Red Cross in CPR, first aid, lifeguarding, and giving world-class high-fives. All instructors boast State of Arizona Preschool Licensing, and each staff member receives an observation and evaluation every four-week session. Future Michael Phelps record-breakers are evaluated by age, physical size, strength, abilities, gill possession, and desire before being placed in one of 10 class levels that will nurture their Neptunian efforts. Students and parents receive regular progress reports and assessments, as well as an underwater photo and certificate of completion for each session. Please see the schedule to plan your progeny's life aquatic.

Randy Brown was overweight and felt uncomfortable with his body. When a friend encouraged him to try boot camp, he reluctantly joined. Through hard work and with support from his instructor, he transformed his body and felt better than ever before. Today, Randy is a certified personal trainer and wants to help others do what his instructor helped him to do years ago: get in shape, gain confidence, and whistle Beethoven's Symphony no. 9. Through the years, he has grown Brown's Boot Camp from one class of 25 students to 14 different camps, and some of his students have gone on to become personal trainers themselves, which speaks to the success of his workout regimen and the camp's communal atmosphere. Randy's program focuses on improving total fitness, which not only includes strength, cardio, and flexibility but also nutritional counseling.

Luminous chandeliers float like paper lanterns above the lobby of Chandler Center for the Arts, welcoming guests entering through the towering glass facade. Inside, they find three halls—one larger auditorium, and two more intimate performance spaces—hosting a variety of musical and theatrical performances. Each theater is designed for optimal acoustics, ensuring audiences can hear every tuneful note, stage-whispered line, and breaking of the fourth wall. And the center showcases non-performing arts as well—the Exhibition Hall displays regularly rotating collections of sculptures and paintings.
