  • Lima Symphony Orchestra
Called “a jewel in this community” by the Lima News, the Lima Symphony Orchestra has been consistently performing inspiring classical performances since 1953. In "From Russia with Love," the symphony’s talented soundsmiths will recreate Tchaikovsky’s Pathetique and Sergei Prokofiev‘s Violin Concerto no. 1, anchored by the solo stylings of acclaimed Bulgarian violinist Alexandrina Boyanova. "The Power of Percussion" will kinetically present a collection of classic choral music, as well as up-and-coming percussion soloist Lisa Pegher, who can rhythmically tap on everything from the drums to Danny DeVito’s head. To reserve seats, concertgoers can call or stop by the box office with their Groupons Monday–Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out the seating chart here. All seats are open to all ticket buyers on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are required.

  • Fun Center On Main
Glow-in-the-dark palm trees rise above Englewood Fun Center’s 18-hole miniature golf course, greeting guests as they arrive to partake in any of the center’s indoor or outdoor attractions. Clients don Hawaiian leis before taking to the 18-hole, custom-designed mini golf course, where they will lope through a tropical pastiche of tiki huts, misting waterfalls, two ponds, and multiple bearded Tom Hankses. Indoors, scampering tykes can slip on socks and tumble freely among the cushy walls and elastic floors of the inflatable bouncing area, or try their hands at skee-ball and other games in the arcade. The indoor facility also encompasses three batting cages, where hitters shoulder their favorite bat or oversized banana and swing at soft or hardballs delivered at adjustable speeds and heights to accommodate all ages and skill levels.

Locolicious can also combine juices into healthy medleys, forming nutritious harmonies such as Viva La Veggie’s ($4.50) mélange of celery, carrots, beets, parsley, and the opening chord from most ’80s training montages.

  • American Style Ballroom
American Style Ballroom's founder Patric Didier has light tripped his way to a couple of Indiana Classic wins, a few gigs dancing for the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and several commercial appearances. When he's not coaching professional competitive dancers, Patric teaches budding dancers of all skill levels how to gracefully hit the floor. Along with co-owner Jeanne Cross—a veteran instructor with more than 30 years of experience—the light-footed duo and its team lead private and group lessons at the studio's two locations. Students of any skill level pound the boards in styles ranging from raucous swing to elegant Viennese waltz to the slightly less elegant Viennese waltz on stilts. American Style Ballroom also hosts practice dance parties to give guests a chance to air out their new moves.

  • Mad Ants Basketball
When the Continental Basketball Association went under in 2001, Fort Wayne was without a minor league basketball franchise for six years. Taking the place of the CBA?s Fort Wayne Fury and rescuing countless basketballs from unemployment lines, the Mad Ants arrived as the NBA Developmental League affiliates of the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons?an organization that was originally founded in Fort Wayne. Despite its freshness, the franchise became an instant link to the city?s history when fans chose the Mad Ants moniker as a salute to Fort Wayne?s namesake, General ?Mad? Anthony Wayne. Since entering the D League, the Mad Ants have added four more NBA affiliates, including the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic.
