Though the instructors at CrossFit NRG hail from widely varying backgrounds—ranging from experience in dancing to swimming to rock climbing—they all share a passion and commitment to CrossFit. The trainers focus on helping athletes of all ages and body types achieve total-body functional fitness with CrossFit’s high-intensity routines. These workouts of the day (WODs) motivate patrons to the point of near exhaustion, increasing their strength, agility, and endurance for the next day’s iron pumping. On any given day, students might blast their bodies with lunges, squats, and burpees, or heave kettlebells, hang from gymnastics rings, and lift weights. To complement the sweat sessions, nutrition guidance from RN and certified sports nutritionist Ashley Palmer ensures that clients properly fuel their bodies for maximum efficiency and health, while resisting snacking on junk food and butter sculptures.
