Michele Wolf has been called many things, including Clara, Pixie, and a meteorite. At 12 years old, she had snagged the principal role in The Nutcracker and stole the show dancing in A Planetary Interplay and A Unicorn of Fairy Forest. Today, Wolf pours her choreography and professional experience into Artists In Motion Dance and Fitness Studio.
She and her staff impart the fine art to adults and kids, teaching the fundaments of ballet, jazz, and tap. Meanwhile, fitness instructors lead all kinds of heart-starting sessions, such as Zumba, kickboxing, Barre classes, which blurs the line between fitness and dance and what's an appropriate closing argument for a defense attorney. Kids? classes, meanwhile, focus solely on the arts; the curriculum includes ballet, tap, and musical theater. The studio is also home to a dance troupe and plays host to little ones? birthday parties.
Since becoming interested in holistic healing in the late '80s, Bluedeer director Suzanne Musetto has grown her mental and physical practice by exploring the art of herbalism, the practice of Qi Gong, Huichol shamanism, and, of course, yoga. So it's no surprise that she understands how deeply all things are connected to each other. Her studio reflects that spirit of connection, immersing visitors immediately in an environment of serenity within its spacious and warm lobby.
The yoga at Bluedeer follows the Ghosh lineage, which blends spiritual inspiration and disciplined physical exercise, so students are challenged on both a mental and a muscular level. The studio is heated to 95 degrees using a Far Infrared Heating system that penetrates the body more deeply and won't dry out the lungs. Classes begin with the beginner-friendly Core 26 program, a series of 26 postures designed by Bikram Choudury to improve blood flow and eliminate waste. More advanced classes build on these postures with more challenging alternatives to the traditional motions. Other programs include a Pilates class to tone and strengthen core muscle groups, and Nia, an all-level class based on grounded and danceable motions.
Koko FitClub’s digital personal-training system rockets both men and women toward fitness goals with 30-minute custom workouts that incorporate cardio and strength training. An initial consultation determines fitness levels and baseline measurements, which Koko’s computerized equipment uses to design a tailored workout plan that precisely measures the weight, pace, and rest time appropriate for each exerciser.
The Koko machines guide exercisers through each workout and adapt as the user’s fitness needs change in order to constantly challenge the body. Designed by professional trainers, workouts maximize the body’s lean-muscle mass, which can boost metabolism and help fight off disease by challenging viruses to kickboxing matches. Exercisers can track their shrinking waistlines and swelling muscles online by analyzing workout scores and comparing individual fitness levels to the Koko FitClub community.

Retro Fitness of Cherry Hill's trainers know it can be hard to find the motivation to work out, which is why their machines sport personal LCD screens with DirectTV and why they play popular movies in their cardio theater. They personally motivate people during one-on-one training sessions and in fun group fitness classes, and they encourage members to take advantage of their smoothie bar's refreshing drinks afterward. While members torch calories on circuit-training machines or bulk up muscles with free weights, they can relax knowing that their children are being looked after and are learning quantum physics in the gym's childcare area.
