Kickboxing classes deliver a knee to the face of fat, burning up to 860 calories an hour with the high-energy striking moves of martial arts and boxing. All four limbs get in on the bag-bludgeoning action at iLoveKickboxing as each class provides a full-body workout that tones arm, leg, and tentacle muscles while tightening the body’s core and improving balance. Hitting the heavy bags won't skin your knuckles once you don the included boxing gloves, which also double as excellent spring-loaded props for re-creating Three Stooges gags. Class times and dates vary based on location.

Out on the town, dancing the night away, filled with confidence. That's the world NJ Ballroom Dance Center's instructors want to open for their students. With a focus on social dancing, they enthusiastically teach the basics of ballroom and latin dances. They lead private lessons, but even group classes are bolstered by personalized attention. Whether it's the foxtrot, tango, or waltz, they customize instruction to each student's skills and level of progress. Everyone can learn to dance, but the staff know everyone must sashay their way to excellence at their own pace. To let confidence grow even more before clients hit the nightclubs, they also host social dances and competitions where students can strut their stuff in an encouraging-and-lively environment.

Maplezone Sports Institute has a straightforward mission: creating a safe training environment for athletes of all ages. It's not as simple as it may sound, though—for one, it requires a lot of real estate. The Institute contains tens of thousands of square feet of training space, between the Academy building, the Fieldhouse building, and currently-in-construction Sports Village. Within the space, they have a skilled set of expert coaches overseeing one-on-one or small group lessons in baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer. In addition to teaching the specific techniques needed to play the sports, such as ball-handling, bat swinging, and victory dancing, the coaches help their clients to both get stronger, move faster, and feel better.

For Master Michael S. Celona, practicing martial arts isn’t a hobby or some weekend-warrior pursuit. A fourth-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do, Michael has devoted more than twenty years to the study of martial arts as a student, championship competitor, and teacher. At Revolution Martial Arts Institute, a supportive and positive environment offers the perfect setting for classes that emphasize proper form as well as the mind-body connection. Instructors also lead fitness-kickboxing classes, where students sculpt their bodies through a blistering assault of punches, roundhouse kicks, and attempts to snatch oxygen molecules out of the air.

Rolling hills, wooded terrain, and shimmering waterways serve as the canvas upon which Beckett Golf Club’s 27-hole, 9,577-yard golf complex shines. The swath of verdant playing grounds forms three distinct nines that golfers mix and match to create varied 18-hole rounds. The longest layout, the blue course, confronts players with bends and jumps in the form of dogleg fairways and water hazards on three holes. A fast-starting swing is a must for golfers starting on the red course, where the first hole—a 498-yard par 5—is also the layout’s most difficult, bending sharply to the left with a lush patch of trees that prevents shortcuts and golf-cart drag races. The shortest of the three nines, the white course puts water in play on two holes and revels in the rolling fairways and medium-size greens that characterize the entire 27-hole layout.
