Four expert aestheticians reside in Jeta Skin Care's warm, welcoming facility, armed with extensive knowledge and high-end equipment to help keep skin safe and overzealous strands in check. During laser hair-removal treatments, the pelt-smoothing professionals direct beams of light over hirsute parts to tackle unwanted whiskers at their source, resulting in longer-lasting smoothness than with shaving, waxing, or renting the body of Yul Brynner. The gentle, safe beams pass harmlessly through the surface of the skin to zero in on follicles only, like a loyal trick-or-treater who's been trained by his parents to exclusively select candy with dark chocolate and nougat.

The aestheticians at Che Sguardo commence the 90-minute rejuvenating signature facial by dripping aromatherapy oils onto the back to ease guests into the pampering session and evaluate their skin. Then, Decléor deep cleansers ferry away dirt, impurities, and lost keys hiding in the philtrum. Steam dilates pores, a massage relaxes frown cramps, and while the facial mask percolates, a skin savant hydrates hands and arms with luxurious lotions and balms.

Artist Jeffery Lyle Segal discovered his passion for drawing at age 12. By high school he’d mastered makeup application, and by college he found himself teaching makeup-application courses, eventually commanding the classrooms of Empire Academy in Costa Mesa and the Cinema Makeup School in LA. Along the way, the steady-handed professional worked as a special-effects makeup artist for film, theater, and print, honing his beauty-application techniques on models and willing key grips. It wasn't until 1991, however, that he found the perfect merger between his appreciation for fine art and love of beautiful faces in the world of permanent makeup. Today, he's renowned as an expert in the field and has served for more than 20 years as a certified member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and as a fellow of the American Academy of Micropigmentation. He strives to help women look their naturally beautiful best and literally wrote the book on the subject, penning his design prowess into a highly regarded training program titled, The Shape of Permanent Beauty.

As the saying goes, "an artist is only as good as his tools," and so Segal favors high-end equipment such as the digital German cosmetic-tattooing devices from Harmonix and Nouveau Contour. Beyond making makeup routines easy for busy folks or those with poor vision or cosmetic sensitivities, his talents can also be used to help correct asymmetrical features, sparse hair or brow lines, scars, or discolored areolas following breast surgery.
