For more than 30 years, the ladies at Women's Workout & Wellness have cultivated a supportive environment in which women can focus on health, fitness, and wellness. Whether grooving through Zumba sessions, pushing weight sleds, performing lifts, or sweating, students find plenty of challenges in the center’s classes. Staffers gauge fitness level by analyzing BMI and testing cardio, strength, flexibility, and the ability to karate-chop airborne cucumbers. Experts also lend advice on nutritional intake and help clients set personalized goals. Before and after sweat sessions, ladies can suit up and cool down in the spacious showers and locker rooms at each location. Daycare is available at some locations for a nominal fee.

A herd of cyclists climbs hills, zooms over flat terrain, and even jumps over unforeseen obstacles—all of which happens without anyone moving a single inch. Pure Indoor Cycling Studio and its instructors devote themselves entirely to indoor-cycling classes. The workout programs last up to 1 hour and 45 minutes each, with seven programs total. During each session, high-paced music fills the exercise studio as groups pedal towards toned hamstrings, quads, and core muscles. The cycles themselves, meanwhile, allow for easy adjustment of gears and don't require saddles, accommodating students at all fitness levels.

For Kristen Fleming, yoga used to be a hobby—the perfect counterbalance to her fast-paced corporate career. Over time, she grew more interested in her practice and eventually became a certified instructor. After a few years of teaching, she realized yoga was her true passion. She decided to pursue it full-time and founded YogaBliss, a space where she specializes in Baron Baptiste’s power Vinyasa style.
The Baptiste methodology is designed to accommodate students of all levels. It blends physical asanas, meditation, and active introspection to build physical strength and reinforce mental acuity and creativity. Kristen carries on the tradition with powerful flows that incorporate breathing exercises, and she puts her own spin on it by playing some of her favorite music.
Though yoga is meant to invigorate and relax its practitioners, sometimes being confined inside the four walls of a studio just doesn't suffice. The instructors of Encompass Yoga break out of the confines of a building, choosing instead to set up their classes on the sands of Montrose Beach. In that natural environment, students breathe fresh air, dig their feet into cooler layers of sand, and cast sun salutations at the actual sun while stretching and connecting with their inner selves.
