What makes your business stand out? Years of experience, continued education, and top professional equipment. We know how to create beautiful portraits in all situations. What inspired you to start this business? Creativity and innovation have always been my strengths, but I also love technology. Photography blends all of those things together, enabling us to wonderfully capture and freeze moments in time. Our photography business began 12 years ago, when I started creating digital sports posters with the action shots we were getting at our boys' games. There was an immediate demand for more posters from parents on other teams, so a business was born with overnight success. It was that same year that we discovered the magical world of portraiture, and have been immersed in it ever since. What is your most popular offering? The beauty of outdoor portraits for families and children tend to be the favorites among our clients. We also do lots of senior and newborn portraits as well as a lot of event and team photography. Anything else you want to add that we didn't cover? We are family owned and have three experienced photographers and two graphic artists at your service. What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer? I always have customers tell me how much they love their images, but I especially love it when senior girls are amazed by how beautiful they look. What’s your favorite part about your job? Regardless of what kind of shoot I'm doing, my favorite part is creating awesome images. Business Basics Established: 2001 Staff Size: 2–10 people Reservations/Appointments: Required Most popular offering: Outdoor family portraits Pro Tip: Ask for our clothing tip guide. Fort Worth Lighting is a commodious, fully appointed showroom brimming with indoor and outdoor lighting features and adornment for under-illuminated abodes. Tear new light holes into the fabric of the universe with ceiling lights, or trade in faded paper-doll garlands for new embellishments such as mirrors, clocks, and candle holders. An antique brass mini chandelier ($68.20) or chrome desk lamp ($55) dispel dreary indoor clouds, or commence home festoonification with an Orleans blackened gold and silver mirror ($63.80).

Tucked away within Madtosh Crafts lies a treasure trove of crafting supplies. Even though the shop specializes in needle art and quilting, its bounty spans the spectrum of the crafting arts, ranging from designer patterns and books about knitting, crocheting, hand spinning, and embroidery to fabrics for sewing, appliqué, and sashiko. Fabrics from Anthology and Free Spirit and yarns from Knit Collage and The Fibre Company arm DIYers for the shop's workshops and events. These hands-on sessions include Knit in Public, which encourages artists to work on individual projects among friends, and the Color Theory workshop, a class that helps students choose ideal hues for their artwork or forged mood rings.

A mother of six, Tiffanie Lloyd developed her photographic skills by taking pictures of each of her young ones. This hobby soon developed into Tiffanie Lloyd Photography, where Tiffanie uses her expert eye to snap shots of other people's newborns and children. Though happy to use props, Tiffanie mostly eschews bells and whistles at her on-location or in-studio sessions, preferring to capture childhood innocence with straightforward compositions. To preserve her client's favorite images, she offers a slew of products, from prints and framed wall portraits to photo coasters and stickers. Along with paid work, Tiffanie lends her talents to numerous charitable causes, such as taking free photographs of high-school seniors in foster care.
