Candles flicker inside the marble fireplace, sending droplets of light into the colonial revival–style home, built in the 1920s, that houses Quintana’s Barber & Dream Spa. Hardwood floors and tan leather seating compose a warm color palette, and WiFi—installed by the ghost of the original architect—keeps busy guests connected. After appointment reminders land in their email inboxes, clients step into the earth-toned sanctuary for services ranging from basic mani-pedis and beard trims to all-day spa excursions. Guests pluck from a menu of massages, facials, waxing, and haircare, and such treatments are combined in packages for individuals and couples.
Quintana's soothing sanctuary doesn't just speak for itself. Patrons banded together to vote the salon into CityVoter's top five for Best Barber in 2009 and Best Manicure and Pedicure in 2009 and 2010. The spa's acclaim page also spotlights press recognition of Friendliest Staff, Best-Looking Storefront, and Most Helpful Combs.

Chaz Jastes styles hair for the runways these days, but she once focused more on the basketball court. Originally a collegiate basketball player, she decided to put down the ball and try a new career, enrolling in Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School. Since graduating from Paul Mitchell, her work has been showcased at various hair and fashion shows around Cleveland, and she provided assistance at New York Fashion Week in 2011. At The Hair Groupie, she skillfully arranges hair in bold new styles, cuts back overgrown locks, and seamlessly sews hair extensions into natural hair.
