Spread across three stories and 110,000 square feet, the Cleveland State University Recreation Center enables students, faculty, and members of the community to tailor custom workouts and play a variety of sports. Weight rooms and cardio equipment help members form balanced workout regimens. Alternatively, athletes can hit the basketball, volleyball, or racquetball courts or take a dip in one of the Busbey Natatorium's two lap pools. Above the facilities, a 7,000-square-foot rooftop patio allows guests to cool off amid light foliage and a view of the campus.

Presented by the COB Foundation, the Ohio Homecoming is one of the organization’s many community-wide events that raise funds to help connect residents to career and education resources. With today's deal, music enthusiasts join the celebration during a special concert from Grammy-nominated artist Drake. Just days before the release of his second studio album, Take Care, Drake splits the spotlight with a special guest to rouse fans with infectious beats, unfeigned lyrics, and his family's long list of secret spaghetti recipes. The young flow-master's expanding legend already includes collaborations with rap savants Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, plus a lineup of chart-dominating singles such as "Best I Ever Had," "Make Me Proud," and "Headlines." Ohio Homecoming has billed the show as an encore performance, as its original July date was cancelled due to a local thundercloud's misinterpretation of what making it rain means.

In 2009, the Cleveland City Stars folded, leaving the Sixth City without a soccer franchise to call its own. Two years later, the group of local soccer supporters known as the 6th City Syndicate finally found a new team to cheer for as AFC Cleveland (its initials: A Fans' Club) joined the National Premier Soccer League, finally bringing the beloved sport back to Cleveland's glacially-formed soccer stadiums. Bolstered by the Syndicate's support, the team surged into the NPSL spotlight in its very first season, winning the first-ever Rust Belt Derby and upsetting the Erie Admirals to claim the Great Lakes Conference championship.

Taking a more casual approach to dance, the instructors at BYOB Ballroom invite guests to bring along their own wine or beer to sip during classes. Their goal is to create an environment that's welcoming and fun?and most importantly, not intimidating. Classic ballroom and Latin-style dancing kick off with easy-to-follow steps that are well-suited for beginners, but also enjoyable for seasoned toe tappers.

City View Studio, a 2,000-square-foot event space on the fifth floor of downtown Cleveland's ArtCraft building, is a great place to watch the sun set over the city skyline. But at the events here, most visitors don't have time to look out the windows. They're usually too busy sampling new wine vintages at events like the Cleveland Wine Series, painting in BYOB Art After Dark classes, or mingling at events of their own design. The event space is available for rent and with its self-playing grand piano, is an ideal spot for a wedding, celebration, or for pulling the classic "haunted piano" prank on friends.
