Blush Boutique, which was named Best Women’s Boutique on Fox 8’s 2010 Hot List, highlights the trendy and eclectic styles of independent and emerging designers with collections of women’s fashion and jewelry. The fashion emporium, bedecked with lemon-lime-magenta pompons, greets style mavens with groves of T-shirts, wallets, and other accessories ($10–$25), dresses and jackets ($25+), and thickets of bags ($25+) and handmade jewelry ($10+). A braided-strap top flatters torsos with floral patterns ($35), and a double-buckled belt ($24), available in beige and black, keeps belly buttons from shouting obscenities at an intrusive forefinger. Featured designers, such as Knitted Dove, Suzabelle, Veronica M, Espe, and Nicole Rae Styler, are on regular rotation, with owners Gina and Laurie—who are both designers themselves—selecting the best from each season to share with their clientele.

The Girls' Night In sleepover program is a project of the Youth Connections program that fosters a sense of normalcy for youth in the public child-welfare system, who are only legally allowed to spend the night with county-approved foster parents. Girls ages 14–18 arrive at the Adoption Network Cleveland offices for a night of activities, during which they can get to know each other through icebreakers, talk to volunteers about personal concerns such as healthy relationships, and experience traditional sleepover activities including facials, movies, and games. At the end of the sleepover, ANC will distribute personal-care items including shampoo and conditioner, body wash and lotion, nail polish, toothpaste, a brush and comb, and lip balm. ANC will also provide pizza, fruit, and desserts for the girls to snack on throughout the night.
As a holistic nutrition consultant, Sarah Saxby helps others by shedding light on dietary topics and lifestyle goals. Her venture into nutrition consultation began when she became a mother of three. For Sarah, parenthood presented a multitude of questions and concerns about what her children were eating. So she began researching ingredients and paying more attention to nutritional information, realizing along the way that one-size-fits-all diet plans are simply ineffective. Today, Sarah carries that philosophy into her work, helping clients map out paths to healthier, happier lives by devising diet and lifestyle plans based on specific needs and goals.
