Connie's photographic artistry shines through her ability to capture candid moments with children, couples, and families. Each shutter session begins at the client's choice of location, be it a family home, an idyllic garden, or a postapocalyptic landscape ruled by sentient ATMs. After Connie thoroughly captures her subjects' two-dimensional essences, clients will receive fully edited, digital copies of all photographs unencumbered by the studio's logo or Photoshopped pirate costumes. Customers that choose the four-hour session will also receive one 11"x14" collage comprised of five photos of their choice, one 11"x14" print, one 8"x10" print, two 5"x7" prints, unlimited digital images, and a disc containing up to 100 photos set to their choice of music.
Part greenhouse and part home décor shop, Fads & Frames stocks an abundance of supplies for DIY home decorating, gardening, and landscaping. The shop’s crafty staff fills shelves with bright ribbons, picture frames, and bins of silk flowers that attract groovy, disco-era bumblebees. A wide candle selection scents the store’s air with aromatic fruits, flowers, and spices. In the spring, a garden center blooms with annuals such as begonias, impatiens, and petunias, as well as Kimberly Queen porch ferns and Knock Out roses. While browsing blossoms, shoppers can also peruse a selection of French-inspired and rustic outdoor furniture.

At Orange Peel, shoppers can peruse a cheery store filled with vintage and modern clothes sold on consignment, discovering great finds that fit their fashion aesthetic. Opened by owner Kristin Tubb to replicate her shopping experiences in Chicago and Saint Louis, the store features racks full of unique finds and brands that include Michael Kors, Seven for All Mankind, and True Religion. An air of playful whimsy permeates every visitor’s shopping experience due to the hand-painted orange signs that adorn the exterior and the bouncy tunes selected by staffer Mary. The store follows a price-reduction schedule that ensures that its inventory is consistently fresh, leaving no dress behind to languish alone. Orange Peel also operates an adjoining furniture shop that sells vintage furniture and home decor, such as carved-wooden side tables and vases.
Mattress Direct culls a variety of mattresses in textures ranging from firm to plush from brands such as Tempur-Pedic and Serta. Serta's iComfort, for example, evenly distributes support across the body with microsupport gel capsules nestled in its memory foam; a specialized material prevents overheating and the resulting unpleasant lava-chase nightmares. Mattress Direct's stock of bed frames, bed linens, and pillows allow patrons to assemble complete bedroom sets in one trip, and an express delivery service prevents the hassle of renting a moving truck or outfitting each leg of a new bed with a rollerblade.
