Narrow fairways and small greens shape the layout at Airways Municipal Golf Course, an 18-hole course carved in the shadows of Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Tree lines and sand traps add scenic impediments to errant shots, and slick putting surfaces make for testy putts once golfers make it to the green. Before rounds, golfers can rehearse their swing at the on-site driving range.
In the spirit of giving that accompanies the Yuletide, the Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis raises funds to thwart the leading cause of disability with holiday-themed 5Ks across the United States. Whether they're sprinting, jogging, moseying, or steering an imaginary fleet of reindeer, every contestant does their part by joining the race and sharing in the spirit of the season. Jingle bells are supplied to accessorize shoestrings, and participants are encouraged to don their jolliest holiday apparel as they race for a worthy cause. Postrace festivities include a meeting with Santa and Rudolph, an elf village filled with arts and crafts, and a jingle-bell boutique with wares from local vendors.

After being diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at the age of 6, FitnessSocial's Dina Juve spent more than 15 years in a sedentary lifestyle. At 21, she decided to take charge of her health and began to educate herself on the principles of a healthy lifestyle. Today, this mother of three, certified Russian-Kettlebell instructor, and personal trainer stays in shape using the same exercises that she teaches in her fitness classes and private group training sessions. Her Kettlebell workouts have even been featured on the KSEE 24 News.
During training sessions, Dina uses weighted cast-iron Kettlebells and the TRX suspension-training system to help clients of all fitness levels increase strength throughout their entire bodies. Using the knowledge she gained to turn her life around, Dina also helps her clients reach their fitness goals with nutritional guidance, giving them the know-how to steer clear of tempting chocolate-covered barbells.
The sound of water burbling in a fountain greets patrons as they enter North India Bar & Grill. Further in, ornate chandeliers dangle from the ceiling, illuminating rows of plush, copper-colored banquettes. On select nights, part of this dining room transforms into a nightclub, where your can down an extra-spicy indian mary or spin around and around in circles before anybody notices you literally have two left feet.
As visitors let loose a few yards away, chefs buzz about the kitchen, pouring honey-cashew cream sauce over tender morsels of lamb and marinating chicken in authentic spices before roasting it in a 900-degree oven. They also concoct a selection of Indian-American fusion recipes including a flatbread wrap loaded with cream cheese and lamb and a tandoori-chicken pizza.
