Inside George Brown Fitness, ISSA-certified personal trainer Scott Sherman leads his students toward their fitness goals with little more than some sets of straps and a will to succeed. An independent trainer, Scott often meets clients in-studio or outdoors in the fresh air, under the nonjudgmental sun, where he helps people of all sorts get in shape, from teens and new moms to conditioned athletes looking to progress in their sport. Sessions vary, but Scott often calls upon exercises such as heavy-rope training, sit-ups and body-weight moves, and TRX suspension training to mold his clients’ physiques.
Fresno Kickboxing Academy schools young fighters in the subjects of muscles, speed, and coordination during a four-day, noncontact MMA sports-training camp. Kids ages 8–17 train in the 12,000-square-foot private sports gym under the watchful eye of a staff of expert instructors, which may include former wrestlers, MMA fighters, or extras from The Karate Kid. During each three-hour session, coaches lead students through a warm-up and nutrition discussion, as well as workouts based on muay thai, American-style boxing, jujitsu, and wrestling. The fully equipped facility boasts an Olympic-size mat, complete weight room, and professional punching-bag rack, good for finessing fist throws or practicing do-si-dos. Check the schedule for dates.
Central Valley Freerunning Academy teaches the art of parkour, a French word that describes the ability to overcome obstacles and move gracefully through one's environment. Instructors teach students how to do this confidently in an urban setting by hosting parkour classes inside a gym with padded floors. In addition to running and jumping, students practice overcoming barriers by climbing, flipping, and saying "excuse me."
La Bella Dance Company was established by Shawna Pribble on June 1st, 2005 in Clovis, California. Our goal is to bring the love of dance to the Central Valley in a fun and new way. We strive to inspire our children in a way that dance is fun. We hope our students come away from it with passion in their heart and soul.

Almost everything in John Gottschalk's life comes back to music. A french horn player since fifth grade, he earned money throughout his teenaged years working at the Gottschalk Music Center location his grandparents opened in 1951. After graduating from college with a music-education degree and teaching a year of elementary-school band, John rejoined the family business full time.
Under John, the company has not only expanded to two locations, but also grown its inventory from orchestra and band instruments to guitars, amps, and DJ equipment. A team of dedicated technicians fix any malfunctioning equipment in-house, while the store's wide selection of band and orchestra instruments are available for monthly rental. Via a team of expert instructors, Gottschalk Music Center even supplies private lessons in everything from guitar and piano to clarinet and ukulele.
