With 32 years of mixed-martial-arts training under his master fifth-degree black belt in tae kwon do, Mark Sinopoli has garnered an international reputation for the depth of his martial-arts knowledge and skill. At StrikeGym, this three-time kickboxing champion in both the United States and Canada leads a team of certified trainers that boasts champions from the spheres of bodybuilding, boxing, and powerlifting. The instructors believe that discipline of the mind is paramount to success, motivating clients of all ages and abilities to blast through self-doubt with a vigorous roster of martial-arts training and fitness classes. They teach students to properly punch, kick, and dodge spring-loaded boxing gloves during MMA, boxing, and kickboxing classes, as well as marry strength training, cardio, and dynamic stretches in their signature fight-conditioning classes. During kids' martial-arts classes?a belt-earning taekwondo system?trainers teach little ones self-defense, self-confidence, coordination, discipline, and safe ways to expel pent-up energy.
StrikeGym brims with cutting-edge workout gear and equipment, including 24 heavy boxing bags and MMA bags. It also boasts fully equipped cardio and weight rooms, along with a large outdoor area for boot-camp classes and training. The gym also contains a wrestling cage, a full-size boxing ring, and expansive mats for Zumba, martial-arts, and specialty classes, depending on the location. All this earned them the title of Best Gym in 2014 from the Local 10 news.
Though now spread over the United States, Crunch gym started in a basement-level aerobics studio in New York City. Despite the humble location, the gym's founders aspired to foster a workout environment that would keep members exercising through entertainment and not shouting from drill-sergeant-like trainers. Their idea was to host fitness classes with offbeat touches, including hip-hop aerobics featuring a live rapper and coed action wrestling.
Twenty years later, Crunch gyms' fitness classes still stray from the beaten path. Body Web with TRX sessions suspend members from a pillar, where they complete gravity-defying maneuvers with help from strong resistance ropes. In Bosu Bootcamp, every exercise is completed on an apparatus that is part balance ball, part core board, and fully endorsed by circus seals nationwide.

As someone who has trained with world-champion and US-champion pole dancers, the namesake of Evette's Dance Fitness Club understands that the activity is a complex integration of gymnastics, fitness, and dance. In that spirit, she leads plenty of nonpole classes designed to get students strong and agile enough for pole work. Ballet and barre sessions stress the importance of muscle-building and graceful movement, and deep-stretch classes help people become flexible enough to perform any number of pole moves. Of course there are several pole classes as well, for students just learning spins to those ready for inversions, as well as courses in advanced techniques, such as aerial rings and silks.

Damion and his crew also conduct weekly diet revisions for each client, requiring mandatory diet logs each week or else punishment workouts surely ensue.
