A locally owned fitness destination for 30 years, Peak Health & Wellness provides patrons with three facilities as spacious and well-maintained as gyms owned by a corporate entity, but as personalized as a family business. Guests walk into any location to find large workout floors stocked with rows of cardio and strength equipment, separate group-aerobics studios, and indoor courts for playing tennis, squash, basketball, and pretend jury duty. The personable staff of certified trainers lead 40 distinct fitness programs including group classes of Insane-X, X-Fit, and spin, while onsite childcare centers watch over the little ones as parents work out. An indoor pool is host to a number of different classes, and to solve the other side of the health and wellness equation, each locale hosts various nutrition programs and seminars.

Every Monday through Saturday, the yoga instructors at North Pines Yoga and Pilates demonstrate how their craft contributes to joint and back health. Inside their studio, they guide students through the slow-moving poses of yoga. Other classes throughout the week focus on different styles, such as vigorous power yoga, yoga flow, and yoga for students with back issues.
Alison Rubin first discovered yoga when she moved across the world, leaving England behind for sunny Southern California in 1972. She fell, or steadily posed, head over heels for the ancient exercise form, eventually earning her teaching certification in 1984 when she moved to Spokane. Now, with 40 years and myriad certifications under her belt, she leads a dedicated troupe of instructors who teach Hatha-style classes within a cozy studio, winning Best Yoga Studio by The Pacific Northwest Inlander in 2009 and 2010.
They lead a lineup of classes that accommodate a spectrum of skill levels, ranging from newcomers to Twister world champions.
