The North Pole's most famous resident descends from his workshop to share the lights, fun, and food of the holiday with revelers at Santa's Wonderland. For 15 years, the larger-than-life Christmas experience has dazzled visitors with sparkling, colorful light displays that stretch more than 37 acres, following a path traversable by car, horse and carriage, or hay ride. Said to be one of the largest Christmas attractions in Texas, this yuletide haven has been delighting families for more than a decade. After gazing upon the 2.5 million twinkling L.E.D. bulbs, visitors can head over to Santa's Town to enjoy a bite of barbecue and continue the festivities. Trumpeted by the owners as a "Texas Christmas Village," the community invites guests to shop at an old Western ghost town and little ones to hop aboard a kids' train before meeting Santa and one of his reindeer. Marshall Frostbite, the park's smiling officer, encourages visitors to watch a nightly holiday movie on a large screen, run their fingers through the fur of the barn animals in the petting zoo, and try their hand at riding a mechanical bull.

Dewberry Farm opens its gates to let the public browse its vast land in search of fall- and farm-themed attractions. The centerpiece of the farm fun is the four-acre corn maze, which challenges guests to navigate three miles of path before reaching freedom. The entrance of the walking-puzzle is manned by the Corn-cierge, who will provide game sheets to solve brainteasers peppered throughout the maze and tridents for defense against people left behind from last year's maze. Celebrate survival at the farm's 16-acre pumpkin patch, where both carving and cooking pumpkins can be purchased ($0.50 per pound, $1 minimum per pumpkin). For an additional $3, jack-o-lantern aficionados can take a stroll through Punkin' Hollar, featuring more than 500 lighted carved pumpkins in a nature setting with trees, animals, and night sounds.

Pump It Up specializes in indoor, inflatable arenas for children. During three fun-filled pop-in visits, children can leap around gargantuan air-filled bounce houses, skip down air-filled slides, and slither like snakes covered in bacon grease through an air-filled obstacle course. Pump It Up’s giant indoor air arenas are climate-controlled and maintained according to rigorous guidelines enforced by a well-trained staff and local police. Parents bounce for free during pop-in, so childless adults who want to play will need to borrow a neighbor’s kid or win one by collecting soda tops.

Aromas of grilled Black Angus burgers waft through All Stars Family Grill, where play spaces for toddlers to 12-year-olds are as much of an attraction as the hearty American fare. Entrees, sandwiches, and kid-size meals appear at the pickup counter with complimentary soft-serve ice cream, which incentivizes alfresco dining at picnic benches on the large, concrete patios. A pair of playgrounds, one designed for toddlers and the other for ages 5–12, entertains kids with slides and tunnels. Inside, wooden tables sprawl out under a checkerboard ceiling, which also decorates three private rooms ready with 50-inch plasma high-definition TVs and AV equipment. An arcade buzzes with 13 games including Madden and Target Terror, and flat-screen TVs sprinkled throughout the restaurant display sports, breaking news, and cartoons.

Texas Jumping Beans launches earthbound kids into orbit from eight colorful inflatables housed in a 12,000-square-foot entertainment epicenter. Jumpers can come and go throughout the day to scramble across a pillowy caterpillar's rainbow frame like remorae over a shark. Sheath toes in socks before offspring scale a scarlet castle's knotted ropes or tiptoe through passageways that melt underfoot into steep slides. Blue, crimson, and yellow tones dominate a bouncy carousel stenciled with horses. Parents can surf the web on WiFi-enabled typewriters as pintsize patrons explore the bouncy terrain.
