Combative FreeStyle Martial Arts, founded by Tom Hogue(5th Degree Black Belt, Combative FreeStyle and 4th Degree Black Belt, Kenpo Karate) is a blend of many martial arts - combining the best of these arts and creating the most practical and effective self-defense system in the world, today.
Nutrition and lifestyle coach Kay Smith discovered the healing potential of regular Pilates practice through her recovery from knee surgery, inspiring her to become a Stott certified Pilates instructor. The Stott Pilates method, modeled on scientific fitness and spinal rehabilitation techniques, uses an expertly designed machine to aid muscles in their quest for strength, flexibility, and an affordable live-in masseuse. Reformer classes last 55-minutes and are kept small, allowing instructors to gently guide students individually. This full body workout is safe enough for pregnant clients and challenging enough for Olympic-level yoga posers. Eight-person mat classes require that students bring their own mat and prepare for 50 minutes of core-strengthening moves designed to sculpt long, lean muscles. Mat classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon. Call ahead for the reformer schedule or to reserve a spot in either class.

All eight of the instructors at Turiya Yoga have an RYT 200 certification from Yoga Alliance, which means they have completed 200 hours of accredited yoga training. They put their experience to good use in an array of yoga classes, which center around the classic styles of Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, and Vinyasa yoga. Most classes are open to all skill and fitness levels, except for the more challenging Ashtanga-yoga sessions, which require students to transition between more than 70 postures while peeling an avocado. Owner and instructor Melissa Prouty is also a certified birth doula and offers doula services and birthing workshops.
My Gym, which currently has more than 200 international locations, began more than 20 years ago as a structured place for children to safely play, acquire new skills, and romp off a sugar buzz. All classes are organized according to age level (starting as young as 6 months) and designed to incorporate the latest physiological and psychological research. Tiny Tykes gets babies moving with help from their parents, Mighty Mites teaches toddlers self-reliance and beginning sports skills, and Champions, a class for kids aged 6–9, emphasizes the importance of using teamwork to master more complex sports skills and achieve group goals such as building a human pyramid to reach the cookie jar. My Gym's energetic instructors are experts at using music, dance, and gymnastics to build youngsters' strength and self-esteem while stimulating their giggle-plexes. The noncompetitive environment fosters creativity and hands-on activities boost children's learning retention and fun quotient.
For women seeking a place to dance, improve strength and flexibility, and gain confidence in their sexuality, the instructors at Bombshell Dance Studio offer a safe and instructive haven. They lead free-flowing artistic hoop-dance classes, which use adult-sized hula-hoops to perform cardio, balance, and core-strengthening exercises. They also provide three levels of pole dancing, wherein they teach students floor work as well as transitions, pole spins, and intermediate through advanced inversions and tricks. Exotic Exploration, an experimental-movement class, sets students free to tap into a state of feminine self-awareness, and special workshops cover subjects ranging from choreographed pole and exotic routines to chair dancing.
