From waterfalls cascading down boulders to parkland framed by a mountainous backdrop, Tomorrow's Dreams Photography can capture clients among some of the most scenic areas in Colorado Springs. While the backgrounds add beauty to pictures, they are far from the photographer's main focus. It was documenting her own family that ignited the studio owner's passion for photography and, most importantly, of people.
In 1976, busy California mother Joan Barnes wanted nothing more than to find a play place where she and her kids could enjoy age-appropriate, educational activities. Finding none, she developed her own innovative play environment within a developmental-based program structure now known as Gymboree Play & Music. Today, kids tumble and learn in more than 650 locations in 33 countries around the world, engaging in open play and classes designed to build cognitive and motor skills. As parents participate in their child’s development, their kids learn to paint, play music, and interact socially outside of their preschool knitting circles.
As a professional photographer, Megan Haverlah knows firsthand how fleeting special moments can be, which is why she dedicates herself to capturing any that she can. Whether she's commemorating an anniversary or shooting a senior portrait, Megan catches split-second happenings such as loving glances between a husband and wife. She also wants her portraits to become keepsakes, which is why she encourages her subjects to incorporate special items such as a family heirloom, rocking horse, or favorite toy into photo shoots.
