Sun Tan City’s trained tanning consultants help clients get bronzed via UV-free tanning booths and ergonomic tanning beds. Sun Tan City's specially designed devices bathe bodies in an even, bronze glow. The tanning beds ($9-$34) apply a delicate balance of UVA and UVB rays to create the fun-in-the-sun look, with varying session durations depending on the bed's level of intensity -- fast, faster, fastest, or instant. The VersaSpa Sunless Tanning System ($34) can provide a natural, even-tonal transformation without the use of UV rays. Standing upright in the VersaSpa booth, your body will be gently misted with either a clear or bronze solution, which will then be combined with an anti-aging moisturizing skin treatment. Each booth is scientifically designed to provide a breathe-easy treatment and features an exhaust system to send the lingering mist out while sealing in skin's new shade. Finally, after a few minutes in the comfort air-dry system, your body will be dry to the touch.
With experience working for two nationally recognized tanning salons, Chelsea Bradley knows that there are multiple ways to achieve a sun-kissed glow. At Glow ToGo, the salon she opened in 2012, she helps customers achieve a beachy tan and a more svelte appearance without exposure to UV rays. Tanning technicians—all of whom hold certifications from Norvell University—travel to meet clients for onsite appointments, during which they'll mist skin with regular and organic tanning solution. They also sell Norvell products that promote even color and hydration.
Joined by more than their salon’s name, stylists Jón and Alan have spent more than two decades refining their skills side by side. Today, the duo passes on their knowledge to the stylists on their team, teaching them the tricks of the trade as they cut, color, and add texture to hair. When they aren’t watching over their stylists or juggling combs dipped in barbicide and lit on fire, they check in on the spa’s technicians, who soothe their clients’ skin with resurfacing facials, chemical peels, and relaxing massages.

After honing her skills as a managing partner at the Body Enhancement Center in Paducah, Kentucky, Elizabeth Harris took the reins at the second location in Franklin. Once she actually purchased the business, she moved to a larger building and expanded services to include lypossage, oxygen treatments, body wraps, and her own body-contouring creation, CelluSleek. Harris also created her own skincare line, Alleia Skin, based on the legend of Alleia, the siren who discovered five natural streams in Capri.
With the goal of bettering body image, the spa staffers perform massages, facials, and body wraps. They also use the Medilift system, which targets stubborn fatty areas and is championed by celebrity speaker Robin McGraw. The newly installed Celebrity Room accommodates up to four simultaneous services during business events, social gatherings, or sweet-16 parties. Old-World European decor, complimentary wine and cheese, and a lack of pickpocketing chimpanzees cultivate an atmosphere of hospitality and relaxation.
