The main aim at Pairings is to promote viticulture and gourmet cuisine in the region, highlighting Ohio's many award-winning wines and curating experiences for visitors to try something new. Inside, visitors can take a tour of more than 2,000 acres of vineyards without moving an inch, sipping samples, purchasing glasses of wine, and finding their favorites before taking home a bottle or two. Those seeking out a more engaging experience can sign up for one of the center's many classes, which are cultural, culinary, and wine-focused. Stop in for a cooking class, or bring friends along for an evening of painting, wine-drinking, and accidentally dipping brushes in wine glasses during one of the cork and canvas classes.
Golf Evolution strives to transform butterfingered putt pendulators into stroke-savvy sultans through a geometry-based teaching technique that has the golfer shift their weight forward to help them push and draw the ball. The skilled instructor bestows zen-like tips upon students, such as approaching the ball from the inside and making sure the club strikes ground in the proper place, preventing unwanted geysers of boiling magma. Games are technologically improved with a high-speed video swing analysis from ultramodern Analyzr software.
Reading Innovations Center's successes in tutoring can be attributed to the selfless dedication of its two tutors. Ann Gavazzi and Sandra Rieger have both earned Master's degrees in education, and they draw on their years of work as educators to create innovative tutoring plans for students of all levels and needs. Throughout all of their programs, they collaborate with students' regular teachers to address areas in need of improvement, and they perform regular testing to ensure progress. Whether it's English as a second language or dyslexia, the teachers have honed a methodology to tackle it. Reading Innovations Center provides all the materials for classes as well, including problem sets.
The Equestrian Center at Andrews Osborne Academy’s staff of accomplished equestrians imbue participants of all skill sets with a foundation of riding techniques and overall horsemanship. Before beginning the half-hour lesson, which ingrains riders with English Hunter/Jumper discipline, each pupil selects a mare from a string of trustworthy and trained horses based on its size and ACT scores. Two 100’x200’ indoor arenas, a 300’x300’ outdoor arena, and a plethora of scenic campus trails host sessions depending on each apprentice’s preference. After dismounting from saddles, students can recline in Andrew Osborne Academy’s two-story heated and air-conditioned viewing lounge, which permits glimpses of stallions galloping in the indoor arena or a view short-lived horse Jenga tournaments in the main barn.
Whether students are aiming for a private pilot's license or simply want to experience what it's like to fly a plane, the instructors at Premier Flight Academy offer informed, experienced guidance. In fact, the academy earned a spot on the 2013 Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Honor Roll for its high standards of accomplishment in flight training. From its fleet of Diamond, Cessna, and Piper aircraft, the instructors help students learn everything they'll need to become private, commercial, or military pilots.
The staff members at Cleveland Flight Lessons work as liaisons between curious students and experienced flying instructors to take the guesswork out of an otherwise fun adventure. Specializing in introductory flights designed for beginners, pilots first debrief students before climbing into the cockpit and soaring up into the sky. Once in flight, students will be given the opportunity to take the controls, and a post-flight briefing will conclude the whole experience.
