Yoga may be a highly individualized practice, but personal growth requires a collaborative community spirit. Harmony House Yoga strives to create this spirit by creating a welcoming environment for students of all skill levels and yogic interests and by hosting classes that draw inspiration from a range of eclectic styles. Regardless of whether students are attending a dynamic Vinyasa session or a meditative yin class, they receive personalized guidance and feedback from the instructors. By creating a strong community environment, the studio emphasizes yoga's ability to build emotional and spiritual connections between practitioners and their surroundings.

Ruth Ann Bradley runs The Yoga Institute of Broward with humor, compassion, and dedication, providing students of all levels with the platform to learn methods of achieving a fitter self and peace of mind. With a focus on the Iyengar method of Hatha yoga, the studio's classes concentrate on overall well being. Ruth Ann shows her students that practicing yoga improves their quality of life by building long, lean muscles as flexible as a calendar with no agenda, while also ridding the body of stress and stimulating weight loss. Whether the goal is to stand taller, bend over backward, or open a pickle jar taped to your back, The Yoga Institute of Broward offers the yoga style to do the trick.
Jazzercise is 60 minutes of cardio, strength training, and stretching that incorporates moves from hip-hop, yoga, Pilates, jazz dance, kickboxing, and resistance training with handheld weights. Just as varied as the workouts are the class formats themselves. There are special Jazzercises geared to sculpt your bod, cut your workout time in half, or literally make you slightly better at saxophone playing. There's even a junior Jazzercise and Jazzercise team dance at some locations, which let you work out with your kids and teenagers. As for the ittie-ditties, childcare is available during select times at many locations.
A championship wrestler by the age of 10, Xcelerate Training owner Craig Marks developed a commitment to exercise early on, leading to a wrestling scholarship and national ranking as a college wrestler. Though a serious neck injury cut his wrestling career short, Craig has remained loyal to his fitness pursuits for more than 20 years, now helping others achieve their goals by designing personalized workouts based on his workout philosophy that combines muscular training, nervous-system training, cardio, and balanced nutrition.
This philosophy comes to life within Xcelerate Training's facility, where Craig and his staff of trainers steer fitness seekers to healthier bodies during both private and group training sessions. The Xcelerate team's creative style incorporates unique props and workouts that take place on an indoor stairway to help burn calories. A 24-foot rock-climbing wall adds a vertical dimension to workouts, as well as birthday parties and corporate mixers for mountain goats.
At Crossfit Grounds, owner Dominic Maurici and his staff lead clients toward their desired fitness goals with CrossFit’s principles of varied, functional fitness. Beneath the studio’s mural of the American flag and a demonic kettlebell with fangs, athletes perform a different Workout of the Day (WOD) each day. Though the workout is never the same, WODs may include exercises that range from rowing and running to weight lifting, body-weight exercises, and gymnastics-inspired moves such as dips on suspended rings.
