A certified Level II equestrian with the American Riding Instructor?s Association, voted a top-50 instructor in 2007 by Riding Instructor magazine, Brittany Pledger has the resum? to back up her position as chief instructor at Vantage Point Equestrian. At the beginning of her riding career, Brittany learned to ride by instinct alone, reading her horses? behaviors rather than awaiting indecipherable hoof-written postcards. Seeing the value in this sort of foundation, she teaches riders of all levels to develop a feel for the horse and to recognize its emotions and body language. She leads lessons throughout Vantage Point's 10+ acres of pristine grassland and beneath the roof of the center's main facility. Her ultimate aim is to prepare students for competition in national AA-rated shows, specializing in the disciplines of hunt seat equitation, hunters, and jumpers.

Under the umbrella of Pet Medical Centers, nine Miami-Dade and Broward-area veterinary hospitals provide sophisticated healthcare for furry, feathered, and scaly family members. The hospitals’ specialty services include nonanesthetic dental care, ultrasounds, radiology, and endoscopies. All locations boast surgical operating rooms equipped with windows and cameras to give owners peace of mind, and many of the clinics are equipped with lasers for blade-free incisions. Besides emergency care, the doctors and technicians—some of whom have appeared as specialists on Univision and Animal Planet—perform general wellness examinations and informative nutritional consultations.
Although medical care provides what pets need, boarding services treat pets to what they want. Most locations double as cat and dog hotels, but only one deserves the title of pet resort—at Coral Springs Pet Resort and Medical Center, animals enjoy a climate-controlled dog park with a pool, baths with massaging jets, and expansive canine suites with window views.
If a kitten is due for its first vaccines, an escape-artist pup needs microchipping, or a bunny is suffering from an insufficiently twitchy nose, the compassionate veterinarians at Nob Hill Animal Clinic can help. They also keep furry patients healthy with regular check-ups and a slate of diagnostic tests. Pet owners don't need to leave the clinic for more specialized services: it's outfitted with its own lab, emergency and radiology equipment, and surgical facility, and the doctors are even trained in animal dentistry.
Inside their 4,200-square-foot facility, Animal Medical Center's staff strives to treat furry friends with the same care and love showered on them by their owners. Using ultrasound, therapeutic laser therapy, and optional holistic medicine, a team of compassionate vets works to keep pets hale and healthy. Their pharmacy makes things easy for owners, who can opt to pick up their pets' meds on site or have them mailed. In addition, an emergency care clinic provides urgent help and a groomer bathes and beautifies healthy cats and dogs.
Two experienced veterinarians lead the staff at Scarbrough Animal Hospital. The team fills the hospital with the cheery barks of pups, baritone purring of cats, and falsetto squeaks of balloon animals during grooming services, including bathing and nail clipping. Beneath collages of fuzzy past patients, veterinary and dental care ensures that critters stay beautiful on the inside and can help ward off future illnesses, weight issues, and problem behaviors. Boarding services provide a venue to compose concertos for squeaky toys and coddle pets during their owners' vacations.
