What inspired you to become a photographer?
I have loved photography since high school. I took a few classes in school and found out that I have a knack for it. I love being able to capture those special moments in a person’s life that they can look back on and reminisce about how they felt at that particular moment. It's just about the sweetest thing you can do for someone.
Who are some of your favorite photographers?
Some local photographers here in Dallas–Fort Worth are amazing. Luckily I have been able to sit down with a couple of them and have their input. It's been amazing!
How would you describe your style or approach to photography?
I only like to shoot when lighting is the best, either early morning or later in the afternoon. I love sun flare but there are some occasions when I like to really let colors stand out in a picture. Especially eyes!
How do you set your subjects at ease?
I just talk. I tell them about myself and ask about them. I like to know who it is I am taking pictures of so I know what type of style they may have or what it is they are looking for in their pictures. If I ask 20 questions, it's because I really want to know what makes them tick.
