The sounds of spoon against bowl and knife against chopping board fill the classroom kitchen at Get Cooking 101 as expert instructors demonstrate proper techniques for turning ingredients into savory meals. Kids from age 6 to 18 craft a two- to three-course meal that includes dishes such as chicken pot pie, cheese-and-bacon quiche, and wonton wraps. Older students master the fundamental techniques of global cuisines, as appropriately aged chefs accompany class with their own bottles of wine that provide delicious culinary pairings as well as substitute rolling pins. Romance fills the air during Saturday singles or date night classes, where students collaborate to create chicken milanese with escarole salad and pickled red onions or cheese-and-lobster ravioli with parmesan crisps. Girls'- or guys'-night-out classes allow friends to get together to enjoy each others' company, crafting delicacies and learning how to reinforce doors and windows against unrelenting armies of processed foods.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Before you come to your first class, you?ll need to figure out what to wear. A T-shirt and board shorts are best to wear. Do not wear anything with extra pockets, belt loops, or baggy fabric. These are dangerous since fingers and toes can get caught in them. Finally, bring a water bottle.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My inspiration has always been the love of the art. Beginning his journey in 1999 and 2000 under a Royce Gracie affiliate school, I have actively competed and trained with some of the best practitioners in the world. I wanted to share my knowledge and work doing what I love.
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping and watching people learn and accomplish their goals.

Functional fitness is also a huge aspect, with Daily Ultimate Training workouts (DUTs) that keep the body challenged with changing combinations of cardio, anaerobic, and agility exercises.?
With that said, UFC Gyms are not just for those interested in MMA. Its encyclopedic selection of classes includes Barre Interval to U Jam Fitness, Zumba, and Yoga Cycle, with plenty of classes for kids, as well. Personal-training sessions take place with certified UFC Gym coaches, who can both design workouts and give advice about nutrition, supplements, and which library books are heavy enough to build muscle while you read.
The Corona Symphony Conservatory was born out of necessity. A group of string musicians realized that local band programs—while great at showcasing brass, woodwinds, and whatever that thing is in the conductor's hand—didn't give attention to violins, violas, or cellos. So, these talented musicians-turned-instructors designed a complete music curriculum for players of all skill levels. Today, they emphasize classical music in small group classes, teaching proper technique and music theory. Corona Symphony Conservatory is also home to a large performance ensemble, who shares their passion with the community at large.
