An uncoordinated child, Jess didn't really discover her athletic side until college. At that time, though, a group of friends introduced her to activities such as yoga, hiking, rock climbing, and biking. She realized that, with a little training, she could change the way her body worked, and begin to trust her own limbs. Now, as the owner and trainer behind JessBFit Personal Training & Yoga, she helps others transform into healthier versions of the themselves. She teaches outdoor fitness classes and yoga, as well as one-on-one training sessions customized to help clients achieve their personal fitness goals.
In EcoFusion Fitness's one-on-one personal-training sessions, certified personal trainers shepherd bodies through various exercises while highlighting equipment-specific benefits and discussing proper form. Training takes place in a private studio, making participants feel at ease while keeping out lonely zephyrs. The 10-class punch card unveils daily group-fitness classes. There’s both energetic fitness yoga and quiet, meditative yoga—with studio-provided mats—as well as men's muscle-conditioning circuits. An '80s aerobic session accelerates heartbeats with classic tunes, old-school dance moves, and threats of cone-bra pokes. After workouts, weary bodies luxuriate in hot showers stocked with organic toiletries and dry off with complimentary towels.
With 35 years of kid-entertaining experience, The Little Gym provides a safe and noncompetitive environment wherein wee ones and maturing moppets can exercise their brains and bodies. Visiting youngsters glean social, intellectual, and emotional skills from the facility's professionally developed parent-child program, which features diverse activities in gymnastics, dance, sports, and parent-child yodeling for mountain-echoing communication more effective than a squeal. With student to teacher ratios of 7:1, kids can also safely fly solo in programs that cater to differing ages, levels of muscle development, and hatred of vegetables. Each session's hands-on activities keep the indefatigable energy motors of little tikes revving, facilitate bonding, and boost listening skills, attention spans, and confidence. Check the complete class schedule for a list of all courses and to confirm times.
Each noncompetitive Curves facility invites female fitness-seekers to move through a 30-minute circuit of hydraulic resistance machines designed to promote weight loss, protect against osteoporosis, and deal with arthritis. Shunning cumbersome weight stacks, the hydraulic gadgets adapt to each exerciser's body weight and fitness level to complement her individual abilities, subsequently decreasing the risk of soreness or injury. And because traditional lift-and-lower motions create bulky muscles, each machine uses push-and-pull motions to create toned, lean muscles perfect for crushing unsuspecting grapefruit. Experienced trainers are always nearby to help clients manage their machine maneuvering, and a soundtrack of fun, upbeat music includes cues to let women know when it's time to move on to the next station or break for an air viola solo.
