It's a simple, effective self defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques & realistic training scenarios.
For more than 27 years, Sean Haley has been practicing the disciplines of brazilian jujitsu and kenpo karate, as well as muay thai, MMA, and kickboxing. He shares his vast experience and knowledge with students of all ages and experience levels at Oregon Martial Arts, where he serves as owner and chief instructor. Classes cater to kids by helping them develop not just methods of self-defense, but also respect, discipline, and patience. Meanwhile, intense muay thai classes teach striking methods used in MMA that require immense physical acumen and help the body get lean and toned, and brazilian jujitsu classes teach students how to use the method for self-defense.
All of the coaches at 503 West Coast Jiu Jitsu are also active competitors. At 503, they foster a familial atmosphere in which they strive to identify each individual’s personal goals and make it their priority to help them achieve. They lead a variety of combat-style programs, including mixed martial arts, Brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, muay-thai kickboxing, and boxing for MMA. They also have classes for kids, teens, and women, as well as CrossFit classes.
The mission of Body and Brain Yoga—alongside its affiliate yoga centers—is to make yoga accessible to everyone, everywhere. To this end, each team of instructors modulate movements based on Korean sun do to match each students’ needs. Classes emphasize aligning the body and mind equally through stretches, breathing exercises, and meditation, and each session is capped off by a 10-minute tea time, during which students and instructors can socialize or reenact Alice in Wonderland's interview with the Easter Bunny.
