The tress-sating stylists at Robert Vincent Salon & Spa employ skills learned in trainings from Goldwell and Vidal Sassoon as they snip locks into face-framing styles, shift hair shades, and lengthen manes with extensions. Expertly calibrated coloring transforms coifs with lively reds and rich chestnuts, and 12- to 24-inch hair extensions elongate 'dos to conceal the body's circuit breaker located between the shoulder blades. Lash and brow tinting, keratin hair-smoothing treatments, and hair-removal services round out the salon’s menu to leave clients pampered and beautiful. Robert Vincent Salon & Spa invites patrons to unwind with sips of complimentary wine, and helps them decide between a new bob or pixie cut by demonstrating styles on potted plants.

When people think of you, the first thing that comes to mind is most likely your face, closely followed by your puggle, then by a really weird commercial they saw on Monday Night Football. Make your mug memorably shiny-fresh and give your designer lapdog a run for its kibble with today's skin-restoring deal: $35 for a one-hour customized facial at Flawless Faces Makeup & Skincare Lounge (a $75 value).

Q&A with Ashley Whitfield, Stylist

What is one of your signature services? How is it performed?

One of my most popular services is my highlights. Many people in Southern California want to look like they were born blond. By using a combination of highlights and lowlights, I can brighten someone up in a way that looks natural and beautiful without washing them out or damaging the hair.

Do you offer your customers any extra perks?

Our salon offers complimentary coffee, tea, and wine. We also offer free wifi and tvs and magazines. We're easily accessible via the freeway and PCH, and we have tons of street parking as well as a large parking lot behind the salon.

Do you or your staff have any special certifications or degrees?

I have a California cosmetology license as well as certification in Hot Heads hair extensions.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

I've been a stylist since 2000 and have worked in Southern and Northern California, where I owned a Salon.

Dr. Sid Mirrafati is so experienced in breast augmentation surgery, you might say he wrote the book on it. Well, maybe not the whole book, but a chapter in the medical text Breast Augmentation: Principles and Practice, in which he explains the water-powered hydro-dissection technique. He has also published books on abdominoplasty and liposuction, as well as one on face-lifts, neck lifts, and other facial surgeries.

In his time away from his ink pot and feathered quill, he has performed more than 17,000 cosmetic surgery procedures, ranging from breast augmentations, reductions, and lifts to tummy tucks, face-lifts, and nose jobs. His clinic, Mira Aesthetic Medical Center, also offers nonsurgical services such as beauty injections, laser skin resurfacing, and laser hair removal.
